Write for Us

Tech Sparking publishes practical technology writing for people who want to make a decision, not skim a press release. If you can write specific, sourced, useful guides, we want to hear from you.

What we publish

  • How-to guides with steps a reader can verify on their own device or account
  • Explanations of complex technology in plain language, without dumbing it down
  • Comparisons that state clearly what wins for whom, and why
  • Original observations — something you tested, measured or experienced yourself

Our standards

  • Source every claim you make that could be wrong
  • No invented statistics, no hallucinated quotes, no “studies show” without the study
  • Disclose any interest you have in a product you mention
  • Write in your own voice — readers can tell when a person is behind the work

What we don’t accept

Paid placements, link insertions, guest posts written purely to carry a backlink, and anything that reads like it was churned out without reading it back. We also won’t publish sponsored rankings or reviews where the conclusion was decided before the testing.

How to pitch

Send one short email with three things: the working title, the two or three points you’ll make, and one line about why you’re the person to write it. If it fits, we’ll reply with the brief and a deadline. Pitches go through our contact page.

Do we pay?

For commissioned work, yes — rates depend on depth and whether you’re bringing original research or testing. We prefer to be transparent about money before anyone writes a word.
