Here Are Your Essential Free PlayStation Plus Games of the Month for April, 2026 – WGB

Another month has passed and that means it’s time for another batch of “free” PS Plus games to be announced. So, what can we expect to add to our libraries in April?

As always, the following games are available to anyone with an active PlayStation Plus membership. Be sure to add it to your library. Once that’s done, you can go back and download them whenever you want as long as you have an active subscription.

And again, I’ll note that PlayStation still hasn’t followed through on its announcement that the PS4 won’t be part of the monthly offerings. I guess I should finally ask them to comment on that, right?

The following games will be available from April 7.

This month’s headline game is Fallen Kings (PS5). Developed by Hexworks and published by CI Games in 2023, it is a dark fantasy-RPG that is a reboot of the original 2014 game of the same name. It holds a respectable score of 71 on Opencritic, and is heavily influenced by the soul subgenre. The next one will be out this year, so this is a timely offering.

“To overthrow the resurrected demon god in this new adventure in a connected world five times larger than the original game. In Lords of the Fallen, you play as one of the fictional Dark Crusaders, who must go through the realms of the living and the dead to disrupt the rule of Adyr, a cruel tyrant who has passed the new era of Adyr. You will endure massive boss battles and master a fast and challenging combat system with nine classes of weapons and hundreds of weapons to choose from In them, you will customize your hero and develop your play style as you set out to defy the gods.

Next, we have it Tomb Raider III has been remastered (PS5, PS4)which is exactly what it sounds like. Developed by Aspyr and Saber Interactive and published by Aspyr, this package was launched in 2024 and did very well with critics, earning a 75 on Opencritic.

I’m interested in trying this one because I have a new nostalgic love Tomb Raider games, but I always felt it would be incredibly janky by today’s standards so I haven’t gone back to it. This is the perfect excuse.

“Play the original Tomb Raider adventure: for the first time, play the complete experience with all the expansions and secret levels in modern arenas in this definitive collection. Experience the classics boasting improved graphics, with the option to switch to the original polygon look at any time. The collection includes a new Challenge Mode: replay levels with customized modifiers and complete 10 achievements to unlock a new Outrafi.”

Finally, Sword Art Online Broken Daydream (PS5) is another version of 2024, developed by Dimps and published by Bandai Namco. A “fair” rating of 70 points on Opencritic means it didn’t destroy the world. It’s a raid-based multiplayer title, and that’s the extent of my knowledge.

“Galaxia, a new system that allows players to relive the past, has been added to ALfheim Online; however, Galaxia is out of control causing players from all over time and space to be removed! To restore the timeline on track, Kirito must work with dead friends…and enemies. In accordance with the Sword Art Online series, join an attack team and prepare to fight each key how difficult their victory is! a specific role on the battlefield, SAO characters 21 from various arcs are recruited to fight against 20 players from all over the world in one of five parties with 4 players per party for multiplayer engagement!
