10 Best Bosses in the Red Desert

There’s no denying that Crimson Desert is one of the best RPGs to be released in the modern gaming era, and there are many reasons why. One of the reasons is due to its boss designs and the way the game handles combat.
10 JRPG Bosses Harder than the Final Boss
JRPGs have some of the most iconic battles in gaming and while most are manageable, there are always a few in each game that give gamers the chills.
Crimson Desert has over 70 bosses, and 28 of them appear in the main story, and most of them appear during side missions or exploring the world. Some of these bosses are well designed and have cool themes that make them stand out from the rest, but which ones are the best? Let’s rank the best designed bosses in the game.
10
Cubewalker Lithus
Weird, But Cool
Cubewalker Lithus is probably one of the most annoying bosses in the game, due to the way you need to defeat him. There are a few bosses that require you to attack the core to destroy them, but none of them look as cool as Cubewalker.
The design of this boss is intimidating at first, and because of the small arena you fight on, it feels even more intimidating. Thankfully, you can use your skills to take it down quickly if you don’t mind running out of limits.
Overall, Cubewalker Lithus is a decent boss with a unique style that makes it very well designed. At least more so than most other bosses in this style.

Cassius Morten
So Much Blood
Cassius is fought in chapter 6, and is a boss that leaves a lasting impression. With his boss’ arena covered in blood, there are few arenas that look more dangerous than this one, making the design well suited for this challenging battle.
Everything about this boss is dangerous, from his blood red armor to the spiked pole he uses in battle. The tone is set for this experience, and it’s made even better when you see blood fly from his weapon with each swing.
Combined with the dark verture that plays throughout the war, there are few superiors to Cassius Morten in the campaign and beyond.
8
Meet the Devil
They are from Mhlanga Man
The fight against the Reed Devil is dragged out, but that makes it better. After this boss appears first, you have to chase him, and after reaching the reed field you can fight him directly.
Until now, Reed Devil is playing with you, giving you more clones to take apart. During a major battle, the Reed Devil is as evil as he sounds, disappearing and reappearing at will.
When the Reed Devil strikes, there are arcs of fire around his blade, adding to the atmosphere of the fight. This is the first time in the Crimson Desert that the bosses really feel different.
7
The Black Fang
Reminiscent of Another Series
Do you remember the days of Dark Souls fighting Sif, or maybe the days of fighting the Champion’s Wolf in Dark Souls 3? Crimson Desert captures a bit of that magic by having you fight a demon wolf called the Black Fang.
This famous wolf appears during the Howls from the North Gate, and this relentless boss will not give you time to breathe. You track down a pack of wolves, take them out one by one, and then you have to fight the leader – a terrible black and red wolf with a twisted pellet.
10 Best Soulsborne Boss Themes, Counted Down
The works of FromSoftware’s creators deserve to be in a museum.
Being isolated in the forest while fighting this monster brings the spirit up, and you are treated to howling wolves when you finally kill this monster.
6
The Crowcaller
Very surprising
Pearl Abyss has done a great job setting the tone for certain bosses, and Crowcaller is one of those bosses. At the end of the trail, you are thrown into a large field with a large dead tree.
Crows fly around, adding to the already eerie atmosphere, and cages hang from tree branches. The overall design sets a dark mood that can overwhelm other bosses.
Not only this, but the way you and Crowcaller shake up the field during the break shows how intense this fight really is. It’s a fight you won’t soon forget.
5
Find the Cursed Knight
Specters are amazing
At first, the design of Fortain, The Cursed Knight, seems basic. He’s a giant enemy in plate armor that feels more fun than any other challenger you’ve faced.
However, things change quickly when you realize that Fortain is able to summon specters to defile you. He stabs with his sword, and the specter shoots you with many arrows.
As he charges, another mirror hits the floor with a large blade. While Fortain may seem basic, he is anything but, and the overall structure of this boss fight is raised as the battle progresses.
4
Wake up Ludwig
Thor Without the Hammer
Now is where things start to get basic, and by little, we mean a lot. You enter the building to fight Ludwig and are soon met by a man who can blast you with lightning.
Ludwig is basically Thor, but he doesn’t need a hammer to hit you with heavenly thunder. At first, this boss is decent, and will give you a few shocks, but that changes in the second phase of the fight.
During the second stage, Ludwig starts striking blades made of lightning, splitting the room, and becoming even more evil than he already was. It’s easy to say that this war made us very nervous.
3
Lava Myurdin
He burned alive
Let’s continue talking about things by bringing Lava Myurdin. The design of this battle is flaming like burning logs around the arena, making it one of the best in the game.
Myurdin has a fiery temper, and it is easy to get carried away. This man shows his anger by ripping up the ground, summoning mud from the depths of the earth.
Crimson Desert: All Witches’ Lands
This guide explains how to find all the witches in the Crimson Desert.
As the battle continues, the flames grow hotter, and the arena is engulfed in flames. It sets a tone unmatched by almost any other battle in the game, and it’s incredibly satisfying when you get him down.
2
Sword of Antumbra
Get Ready to Parry
Antumbra’s Sword can be found in the Sanctum of Absolution – a place you might end up accidentally finding at the beginning of the game, and if you do, you’re instantly killed. The boss here, is very difficult to defeat, but also more dangerous than any other enemy in the game.
Antumbra’s Sword spawns, the sky darkens slightly, and an eerie blue light appears. This happens before the great sword comes down on you. Although it may sound unfair, this battle is one of the best if you take it down.
Call on your Inner Souls player and respect this fearsome boss. You will feel a great sense of accomplishment each time you do it, as the attack is not easy at the time. Everything about his boss’s design is almost perfect.
1
Beloth the Darksworn
Lich King?
Finally, we come to Beloth the Darksworn – perhaps the most difficult boss in all of the Crimson Desert. Beloth awaits you in ruins, surrounded by shards of ice, sticking out of the ground like swords.
He was greeted by the Beloth scene as he emerged from his icy prison. Before you know it, you’re covered in a thin layer of snow that makes you feel like you’re fighting a blizzard.
The thick fog quickly dissipates as the battle begins, and boy, is this a tough battle. Despite its difficulty, this is one of the most well-designed boss battles in the game, with everything well-organized, from difficulty to atmosphere and effects. Everything is done on purpose, and it shows.
