Get repair power with Titanium Ingots.

While the Repair Tool is in theory easy to open and perform manual work, it ends up being time consuming just because of the how far you have to swim to each location to unlock its blueprint and how limited your resources are when you start the game.

To unlock the Repair Tool Blueprint, you need to scan the three Repair Tools left behind by the former marines. Since the Lifepod is a great place to navigate if you don’t have an in-game map, all locations to scan will be relative to it.

The nearest Repair Tool is approx 220 meters to the southeast of the Lifepod. You will see a tall rock spire with a hole around it. Enter the space to find a place where there is a Repair Tool sitting on a workbench. Scan the tool to find your first part of the blueprint.

Your next nearest scan site is about 275 meters south of Lifepod. There is a great danger in this place that you can enter. Unlike the previous area, there is more space inside to explore. You want to find what was the elevator and swim in the shaft. Then, look at the sofa with the Repair Tool sitting on it. Scan the tool, and you’ll be ready to go to the final destination.

Your last stop is almost here 380 meters to the northeast of the Lifepod. There is another wreck in this area that you can swim in. In this case, you want to search for the window, which is where the Repair Tool sits. Scan the tool, and you’ll finally have a blueprint available to draw.
