How to defeat Dr. Fetus in Super Meat Boy 3D

A philanthropist? Posted. Mr. Are you dirty? Clean up. A Forge Master? He broke up. Maggot Larry? RIP, bro. That means the only remaining boss in your Super Meat Boy 3D adventure is none other than Dr. A notorious fetus, someone definitely he should have been kicked out of his doctoral program before receiving his degree.

Compared to all the other bosses in Super Meat Boy 3D, I think Dr. Fetus is probably very strong. But I can also say that once you reach this level, the worst game is behind you in difficulty. Those last few levels in Visceraville are more troubling than this kid in a suit.

Anyway, let’s prepare for this final battle. The credits await you.

The battle of Dr. Fetus is a four-part story, so it’s probably wise to watch the video above to see exactly where you’re getting in here.

In fact, if this video works for you, feel free to skip this entire guide, as Super Meat Boy 3D’s bosses are more about memorization and manipulation than anything else, really. Good luck!

How to Beat Dr. Fetus

After flipping you the double bird, Dr. Fetus fires two lasers that form a cross and fire from his giant robo hands. The hands will move back and forth along the roof. Your best bet here is to jump the ropes and lasers, jumping back and forth between the upper right and lower left quadrants of the roof space. This is not too bad to manage.

After several jumps, the lasers will start to rotate counterclockwise while maintaining their cross/X shape. Just follow the ground in the open area to survive, nothing special.

After this, the fists will hit the ground and send you to the second stage.

Survive two waves of hands sweeping down from either side. They did this twice. It is also not difficult to avoid at all.

After this, the fists will take turns hitting the ground, creating a shockwave and you will have to jump. It’s possible to skip multiple times at a time, and it’s actually encouraged in certain areas.

The timing here is tricky, but I would recommend watching the video above to memorize how many shockwaves you can jump through at once.

After this, you will be sent down to the third stage.

Quickly, stick to the left wall, as it is the only safe place in this arena to start. From here, you’ll simply jump forward between the walls on either side, not sitting down as each new grid/laser alternates between the walls.

After switching the walls three times, the floor will stop being electrified. Jump down, and the hands will carry you to the final stage.

Back up, Dr. Fetus will attack you directly with a laser gun. Stop at on the right on the roof side, as he always moves the laser to the left first. Jump over the rope when it returns to the right.

Now, a large metal vessel is attached to the back of the roof. Ride the boost arrows to the right.

Once you’re on the ship, just run straight to Dr. Fetus, jump on him, and win the battle! Wow!

Oh, surprise though. After the cutscene, you’ll have one quick escape sequence with Bandage Girl in tow. This section is very short and to the point, however. You got this!
