Classes are the most important decision in Mewgenics. Whether you need a Fighter, Tinkerer, Necromancer, or Tank, these options will largely depend on where you plan and whether your cats stats benefit that particular class!
However, you may have noticed that you can only choose one of each class, which is annoying if you have two Hunter powers in your lineup. But there is a solution. Is it perfect? No. But it’s better than nothing, right?

Where to Find an Empty Column
A Blank Column will not appear on your Column selection page until you first purchase it. To buy your own Collar, you’ll first need to unlock it Tracya character who sells things to you in his shop.
Tracy is unlocked early in the game and can be found on the NPC map. Will only take old cats, especially those over 5 years old.

Tracy’s store doesn’t always stock this collar, so if you don’t grab it, it may be out of stock for a while. Check back every time the store has a resale to see if they have the collar on sale.
However, this is not the only blank collar you can find. Every time you send him 40 cats, he will put a new collar in the store. This includes three columns. All upgrades after this are just graphics and more food storage.
How to Use a Plain Collar
So, you bought your first Column, and now you want to choose two Fightersfor your next run! If only it were that easy, right?
Unfortunately, if you enter the Collar selection screen, a blank collar will select the role randomly and be that category, which means you can’t choose your own. Instead, you’ll just need to trust that the collar will be a class that benefits your team.
If you want to raise more money to buy a Column, you may want to choose a Thief class to use next. Choose moves that scatter coins or coins from enemies, and you’ll be rich with third place! The Druid’s raccoon transformation would also be great for collecting floor items.
Naturally, this becomes more likely if you buy more columns. Once you have three columns, you will have a very good chance of finding a duplicate of the class you want two of.. Moreover, there is even a very small chance that you will be able to pick three of the same class if you are lucky enough.
While the columns don’t change the game, they make the preparation phase for each run smoother, reduce randomness and give the player more control. In a roguelikewhere every run counts, control is important!
