How to Get Premium Wood on Starsand Island

There are a number of materials that you can track down on Starsand Island, each of which requires you to use certain tools or go to a certain location to find them. For example, the Carbon Line requires the use of many materials and a specific design table.

One of the many basic items you will need later in the game is Premium Wood. Although this item may sound easy to find, you actually need to go through the process of finding a specific tool to find it.

Let’s analyze how to get Premium Wood on Starsand Island.

Where to Get Premium Wood

Like other types of wood in Starsand Island, you will find Premium Wood in trees. If you look at an item in your inventory, it will tell you that it comes from cutting down giant trees.

Unfortunately, the game doesn’t tell you exactly which types of trees count as big trees, but they are easily recognizable from their smaller counterparts for the most part.

In particular, look to cut down the white figs, as these are the ones that will drop Premium Wood. They will also drop Softwood and Hardwood, allowing you to collect three types of wood from one tree.

White fig trees are often found in the northern part of the island, and I often go to the area near Cloudrest Lake to find them.

To cut down a white fig, you will need to place your hands on top of the machete. This is the second upgrade to the basic ax that you make at the beginning of the game.

To make this tool, you will need the following items:

4 Hardwood Planks
4 Sheets of Steel
2 Glowing Crystals
3 Copper
1 Ax of Impact

Crafting this item is similar to crafting other hard tools, so you’ll need to make sure you know how to find iron ore and other hard-to-find items.

Once you have these materials, you can build a machete on a second work table, as long as you have a blueprint. If you haven’t purchased a plan, you can do so by visiting Zerine’s store in town.

You will go through the process of creating a second level work table as part of Zerine’s Crafter questline. Once all this is done, you can build a machete and use it to cut down large trees.

Buying Premium Wood

While you can easily gather Premium Wood from the white fig trees around the island, you may want to simply buy the material instead. Fortunately, you can do that, but it takes a bit of setup.

First, you’ll need to learn the Supply Boost skill in the Workpedia App on your in-game phone. This will enable stores in the city to stock raw materials.

Apart from this, you will not be able to buy any raw materials from the shops. Second, you will need to become a Senior Crafter as part of Zerine’s quest line.

Once you are considered a Master Crafter, you will be able to purchase Premium Wood from Zerine’s shop in town for 25 Coins.
