PS4 games are fun Instantly

It seems like yesterday that I was waiting in line for the PS4 midnight launch at my local GameStop. But really, it’s been ten years since Sony came out with the fourth iteration of the PlayStation home console. In that time, we’ve seen a lot of amazing, great titles come out of the show.
10 Best PS4 Games With High Replay Value
These PlayStation 4 titles are the best that you can go back to and replay to your heart’s content.
Everything from action RPGs to shooters to puzzle games have graced the PS4’s multi-disc drive and HD storage. There are almost countless games that gamers have come to love. However, not everyone gets your engine running right out of the gate. However, there are plenty of games that you can enjoy the minute you pick up your controller.
If you’re looking for an amazing PS4 game that’s fun from the start, you’re in luck. Here are some of the best ones to try if you’re looking for something that won’t take forever to get to the good stuff.

The Tetris Effect
Building Blocks
If there’s any game that’s easy to jump into right away and start having fun with, it’s the game of Tetris. The Tetris Effect is no different. Almost everyone knows the theme by now: you throw shapes on the board and try to make lines with them to clear the pieces from the board. There isn’t much to the core gameplay, but that simplicity is what makes it so accessible.
Tetris Effect goes the extra mile by adding insanely attractive visuals and a soundtrack that ranges from ethereal trance-like music to electro beats. How could you not be happy with a game like Tetris Effect?

SECOND FAMOUS MAN
Chip Off the Old Block
This open-world adventure game sets players in a fictional version of Seattle, WA and lets them run wild. FAMOUS Second Son gets your boots on the ground and beats up the bad guys with your special abilities that allow you to control certain elements like electricity and fire right off the bat.
The great thing about games like Second Son is that you’re free to openly explore on the fly and take on challenges as you see fit to unlock new abilities and upgrades. Second Son makes you feel powerful and makes you feel stronger as you progress. It never lets up on the action and keeps things fast paced and entertaining for sure.

Monster Hunter World
Searching for deer
While this wasn’t the first Monster Hunter title ever published, it would be the first in the series to make an impact outside of its core fandom. The world is definitely a game with deep mechanics and unique gameplay, but getting on your feet and hunting monsters right out of the gate before weighing you down is too much detail.
Of course, Monster Hunter World gets even better when you team up with your friends to take on a giant Diablos or Nergigante. The variety of weapons and armor you can craft and try out, as well as the heavy availability of post-launch content, means there’s plenty to sink your teeth into if you want to try it out now.

Horizon Zero Dawn
The future of electricity
PlayStation seems to really know what it’s doing when it comes to making awesome post-apocalyptic games. Horizon Zero Dawn is a fascinating romp through a future where technology is seen as archaic and crazy robotic beasts slay humans as the beast shows off a beautiful, yet deadly world. Using the abilities of the main character Aloy to sneak past the online animals and unlock the lost technology was easy to get into and hard to put down.
Between the remnants of civilization and giant Tallneck beasts roaming the plains, Zero Dawn is also one of the most civilized looking PS4 games out there. If you’re looking for a single-player experience to sink your teeth into, it’s definitely a good choice.

Episode 4: A Thief’s End
A Different Kind of Tomb Raider
All Uncharted games have started with a bang, and 4 was no different. The chaotic boat chase that began in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End set the precedent for our last adventure with Nathan Drake and was a great way to continue. Naughty Dog has always had a reputation for making some of the best games for the PS4, and Uncharted 4 has continued that trend.
If you enjoy adventure games and haven’t played the Uncharted series, I feel sorry for you and a little jealous. Sorry you haven’t had a chance to enjoy it yet, and jealous that you’ll be hearing it for the first time. Not that you need to play the first 3 Unloaded games to enjoy the 4th, but you might as well while you’re at it.

Marvel’s Spider-Man
Web Swinging
You begin your tenure as the head of New York’s favorite web by taking on Wilson Fisk, AKA the Kingpin, and his crew of henchmen. Spidey jumps right into the action and opens up NYC for you to web through as you stop random crimes and fight a number of villains from the franchise’s classic rogues gallery. Marvel’s Spider-Man is a game that lets you get lost in its environment and begs you to explore.
I’ve put this game on my PS4 before running around town climbing the tallest buildings I can find, jumping off them, and getting that roller coaster feeling of speed. If I can have this much fun doing silly little things, you can imagine how much fun the whole game is. If you haven’t checked out Marvel’s Spider-Man, it’s one of the best in the series. I highly recommend it. Truly one of the best games of its console generation.
4
Red Dead Redemption 2
Cowboy Epic
When you think of the biggest games to come out during the PS4 console generation, Red Dead Redemption 2 is definitely on the list. Rootin’-tootin’ Wild West, an open-world adventure game puts you in cowboy boots and a hat, puts you on a horse, and drops you down a snowy mountain to begin your long and epic adventure.
Between its amazing locations, robbing banks, and spaghetti western inspired, Red Dead Redemption 2 has a lot that makes it a great experience. Like most Rockstar releases, it’s a game that will keep you entertained from start to finish.
3
The wind of Tsushima
The way of the Samurai
A dramatic seaside battle between the invading Huns and the samurai of Tsushima is a terrific way to start the game. Ghost of Tsushima is one of my favorite PS4 games for several reasons. First of all, I’m a fan of a good samurai game, but then there are the beautiful mountains of the Japanese island that look like the next generation, and the melee combat machines are impressive.
Tsushima also allows players to choose to face threats head-on or take a more stealthy approach in most situations, meaning you can be as smart or as brutal as you want to be. Ghost of Tsushima has the aesthetic of a Kurosawa film and the addictive open world gameplay that Sucker Punch is known for. It is one of the most fun games you can get on your PS4 and enjoy it right away.
2
Final Fantasy 7 Remake
Doing the Biggest Thing
The iconic Avalanche attack on Shinra was a game-changer back when the original Final Fantasy 7 came out for PS1, but its age shows when compared to the graphics and gameplay of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The game is a combination of action-based combat and the classic ATB system of older Final Fantasy titles. Fans had to wait years to finally get their hands on it, and it was worth the wait.
FF7 Remake is easily one of the best RPGs to come out. Not just on PS4, but in general. If you’re looking for that kind of game, you can’t do much better than taking it for a spin.
1
Grand Theft Auto 5
Get that Money
Like most entries in the GTA series, Grand Theft Auto 5’s campaign starts off with a bang by throwing you into the middle of a bank heist. After that, you were pretty much free to run around Liberty City committing whatever heinous crime you saw fit. The ability to steal a car and run the police before you do anything to move the story is one of the reasons why GTA 5 is such a fun game. You can just be a chaos goblin or get to work.
In addition to the main game, GTA Online offers a similar experience to the main story in terms of getting out there and starting to mess up right away. And the ability to tackle heists, races, side quests, and other mini-games with your friends is another thing that makes GTA 5 a title you can enjoy as soon as it loads.
