‘Multiple’ Assassin’s Creed Games, Two Games Far In Development

Did you find Assassin’s Creed Shadows enjoyable? Looking for more Assassin’s Creed games in the future? What about Far Cry? If the answer to those questions is “yes,” then you’re in luck.
Ubisoft has confirmed what we have known for a long time, and that is that they are developing several games in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, as well as two Far Cry games.
The confirmation came from Ubisoft CEO and co-founder Yves Guillemot.
Expect More Assassin’s Creed, Long Distance Games From Ubisoft
Speaking to Variety, Guillemot was asked if there are any announcements planned for the next Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow Six Siege, or Far Cry games anytime soon.
Surprisingly, instead of wandering around the story, Guillemot confirmed a few things in the process, saying, “We have a strong pipeline going on at Vantage Studios. Under the Assassin’s Creed brand, several titles are still in development, including both single-player and multiplayer experiences, with the desire to continue growing the community that exceeded 30 million players last year.”
Ubisoft’s chief executive added, “For Far Cry, anticipation is high, and we currently have two promising projects in development.”
When it comes to Rainbow Six Siege, Guillemot did not confirm or deny that we will see a sequel, but the official revealed that the first-person shooter sees 2.5 million players every day.

What the Far Cry franchise needs: live service games!
Although Guillemot’s revelation is not surprising, it is one of the best stories linked to the publisher in recent months.
Sure, Ubisoft managed to wrangle some of Tencent’s money to save the company from total collapse, but that hasn’t been enough to stop the latest string of bad news that has plagued the company for what seems like years now.
When it comes to Rainbow Six Siege, Guillemot neither confirmed nor denied that we will see a sequel.
The latest bad news? The highly anticipated remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time has been axed despite the game being in development for years and scheduled for release sometime this year.
When it comes to new games in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, rumors have been swirling non-stop about Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, which has yet to be officially announced.
As for Far Cry, the latest game in the series is Far Cry 6, which was released in 2021. Chances are, we’ll be hearing more about Far Cry 7 this year. Maybe it will be accompanied by another Far Cry spin-off.
