Stardew Valley Marks 10th Anniversary With New Wedding Options

Stardew Valley is officially lighting the candles on its tenth anniversary cake this Thursday (yes, dear reader, we’re getting old), as well as celebrating ten years of farming and friendship, the creator. Eric Baronebetter known as ConcernedApeshared an exclusive video looking back at the game’s incredible journey so far.
It’s a good emotional return, showing almost everything related to the development, from the first pictures of Sprout Valley (its original example) to the first iteration of the mines and even the content of the abandoned attraction, such as the underground goblin valley.
Stardew Valley Has Been A Secret For 10 Years And No One Has Discovered It Yet
It seems that an old mystery is hidden in the game
Barone also gives fans a glimpse into his personal history, sharing photos of his beautiful setup where he spent years bringing the world of Stardew Valley to life – and it’s gamer cave.
Clint and Sandy Join the War!
The birthday video not only focused on the past, but also gave a good glimpse of the new features of the most anticipated items. Update 1.7.
In its final three minutes, the tone of the special shifted from nostalgia to the future as Barone began talking about coming to Stardew Valley. Although he made it clear that he doesn’t want to give too much away yet, he did confirm that it’s finally time for the two long-time actors to be romantically linked: Clint again Sandy. “It’s their time!”, Barone exclaims in the video.
For those who need a refresher, Clint is the local blacksmith in Pelican Town, while Sandy runs the Oasis store in Calico Desert. Both have been NPC fan-favorites for years, and their promotion to full-fledged brides is something the community has been clamoring for since the early days! So yes, you can start preparing your wedding dresses.
It’s worth remembering that, beyond the new romances, Update 1.7 is guaranteed to include a new farm type and a long overdue change to the game’s family system, as one developer revealed recently that he’s “trying to make it more interesting for kids.” So we’ll probably hear more about that soon!

To wrap things up, Barone closed the video with a heartfelt thank you to players, modders, other developers, retail companies, and everyone who has supported the Stardew Valley journey in one way or another over the past decade.
“I wanted to say a huge thank you for supporting Stardew Valley over the last 10 years, in all the forms, the fan art, all the characters, and the comments you’ve made to me,” he said. “That means a lot to me too. And it has given me a great purpose in life. So I thank you for doing this for me.”
