The way Starsand Island feels more relaxed than Stardew Valley

Although Starsand Island doesn’t focus as much on farming as Stardew Valley does, both games have a lot of overlap when it comes to the activities available to participate in, even when Stars is still in its early access period. As a new game, Starsand Island has the opportunity to see what works and what needs improvement in similar games that came before it.
Starsand Island: How To Unlock All Pets (Locations)
It is not an island without a faithful friend!
Starsand Island has made many of its features relaxing to engage with, and it’s clear that the developers want this game to be as stress-free as possible, encouraging you to take your time as you progress.

Moonlit Forest
The Mining Equivalent of Stardew
On Starsand Island, you’ll spend a fair amount of time exploring the Moonlit Forest as part of the Explorer quests, and because there are so many things you can only find in the forest. The Moonlit Forest is divided into different areas, which gives you teleport points as you open camps deep within the area. It’s a program that works somewhat like a cash machine in Stardew mines.
With mining, you never know what you’re going to face or what levels will be completely dark. Moonlit Forest is very relaxing because you know what to expect. Enemy locations and resources remain the same. This also makes it easier for you to find what you need, because you can go directly to the place where that resource is and know that you will find it.

Stamina Management
Durability Lasts a Long Time on Starsand Island
Similar to other life simulators, Starsand Island has a stamina bar which is a job fees. It works in the same way as Stardew Valley’s powers. When you do tasks like mining, you consume energy, and if you use all your energy, you die. You also lose stamina if you stay awake too long, and passing out means you start the next day with half your stamina as punishment.
Compared to Stardew Valley, it feels like the energy doesn’t run out as quickly in Starsand Island, but that might be because of how you don’t constantly complete many tasks that require energy, such as watering the plants, it takes no energy at all in Starand. Also, you get a lot of food from the islanders in Stars and you always have a way to replenish stamina.

Islander Requests
They Want Just A Few Things
On Starsand Island, islanders can request items through the Request Bulletin. This is similar to the requests posted on the board by Pierre’s in Stardew Valley. However, Stardew requests often ask for things that are not easy to find, such as an outdated product.
For applications on Starsand Island, you have them many requests choices each day, so there’s a high chance that at least one of those requests will ask you for something you already have, or one that’s easy to find. This makes it more convenient because you can get coins and love from NPCs without having to worry about getting items in a time limit that you might not be able to get in right away.
7
Mail
Islanders Send So Much Mail
Stardew Valley characters sometimes send you things. However, NPCs on Starsand Island always send you email. Most of that mail too it combines things they are related to any job the NPC has. As an example, Dolphin sends about a dozen fish at a time as a fisherman, but Pastelle sends animal products instead, as she is a resident farmer.
You get so much mail that includes items, you can find your list filling up with gifts from the Islanders. Although it may sound like a lot at times, it helps when you start the game, as you end up finding things that you will likely use.
6
Few Events
Tracking Dates Are Less Important
Since Starand Island is accessible early, this may change in the future. For now, there is only two important events on the in-game calendar, which is much smaller than Stardew Valley. However, Stardew Valley has had ten years to add to its events.
This limited number of events allows you focus on learning other aspects of the game without looking closely at the dates. While it would be nice to see more events added in the future, the current setup is perfect for a new game, as most players will be able to get a good grasp of the game before any major updates are released.

Cars
You Can Go Easy
Stardew Valley has horses for fast travel, but Starsand Island has cars and roads that you can follow around the island. This style of walking works best in the 3D style of Starsand, which makes the world feel bigger. As a result, having options that allow you to move around can help you avoid sleep deprivation and blackouts.
There are a number of vehicles you can use, including options such as rollerblades and motorcycles. Although supercars are often more expensive or more difficult to build if you want to do it yourself, you have an option car rental a few days at a time for a small price, or by using rental tickets if you have them.
4
Robots
You can make everything automatic
Starsand Island includes making recipes of a small variety robots doing boring jobs on your behalf, which means you don’t have to worry about them every day. It’s great to set up robots that can take care of your animals, your plants, and harvest wood for you.
Starsand Island: Best Ways to Earn Money Early
Starsand Island has a lot to do from the get-go, and you’ll need a steady stream of funds for most of it.
The downside is that robots are not easy to make. Before you even think about it, you’ll have to go through the art stages with Zerine. However, you should do the crafter quests anyway, because those will be it key to complete requests and other advisors. There’s a reason Solara recommended this path to you first.
3
Home Design
You have a lot of freedom to be creative at home
Stardew Valley lets you make your house bigger and choose interior designs to a limited extent. Starsand Island takes a decorative approach very reminiscent of Animal Crossing. You can buy additional plots to get more space, and you can build and place the furniture the way you want.
You also get this opportunity rearrange your rooms and layout of your house on Starand Island. For some players, this is incredibly relaxing. There is no pressure. You just get to play with designs and turn your home into a place that is uniquely yours.
2
Fishing Program
Starsand Island Fishing is Less Stressful
Stardew Valley made you catch fish by keeping the fish icon in the middle of the bar for a certain amount of time. This is a very stressful program, as the bar jumps when you click, so you have to balance it over the fish icon. Also, the fish icon has a habit which move randomlywhich may ruin your chance of catching it.
Starsand Island has a very old fishing system. When you get a bite, you press a button to bring the fish back in. You release the line when it turns red to avoid snapping it, then keep pulling it when it is no longer red. It is straightforward and not stressful at all.
1
Crafting System
Crafting Set-up makes it easy
In a way, Starsand Island holds your hand a lot when you’re making art. Quests by Zerine are designed to walk you through this process, and rightly so it’s easy to keep track of what items you have and which ones you still need. Stardew’s crafting system isn’t hard to follow, but it doesn’t give you as much experience as Starand’s.
Stars also makes it easy to find where to find different blueprints, as the item often tells you when you look at Islandpedia. Most of the plans are opened by a consultant who uses that feature, but you can’t find plenty of furniture plans around the island, usually in treasure chests. A smooth system that helps you stay organized.
Starsand Island and Stardew Valley aren’t fighting, but if you find the mechanics of Stardew to be on the stressful side, you might want to give Starsand a try. There can be many reasons to try a new life sim, and if you’re looking for a new experience on the relaxing side, Starsand Island could be for you.
