Ubisoft Confirms Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake and Reveals Unity 60 FPS Patch

A few days after Ubisoft announced that veteran Assassin’s Creed writer and art director Jean Guesdon will take on a new leadership position for the franchise as Head of Content, Guesdon took some time today to shed some light on the future of the franchise. AC franchise in 2026 and beyond.

Guesdon first acknowledged fans’ frustration and scrutiny of the franchise following recent controversial decisions and assured players that Ubisoft will now “maintain a clear, consistent conversation about our vision. One that fully embraces the franchise’s roots and DNA while pushing for innovation and exciting new things for you to experience.”

The new Head of Content then considers what fans can expect from the adults AC articles, with Assassin’s Creed Shadows to receive only small, unusual updates this year, while Assassin’s Creed Unity you’ll get a free 60 FPS patch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms tomorrow.

Guesdon’s other announcements focus on the future AC titles, those previously confirmed to be in development, and those not yet confirmed.

The Future of Assassin’s Creed

Assassin’s Creed: Codename Hexe it was announced for the first time since 2022 aside Shadows,back when called Assassin’s Creed: Codename Redbut since then, little or no official information has been revealed about the next big line AC the game.

Issue date of Re-synchronized has not been announced, but is expected to be launched in early 2027, with Re-synchronized allegedly an unknown game that was supposed to launch in February before it was delayed along with other Ubisoft titles.
