10 Cheesy Dark Souls Bosses, and How To Make Them

Dark Souls is known for a few things, but it’s best known for its difficulty. While the common enemies can be difficult, the real difficulty of Dark Souls lies in its bosses. Well, most of its managers.

There are many bosses available throughout the franchise that you can easily defeat with little effort. Stand in the right place, and the boss will ignore you. Use a certain spell, and the boss’s health bar will melt.

The 10 Worst Soulsborne Bosses

Not every Soulsborne boss can be a hit and those with multiple levels make us dread the next playthrough

Some iconic bosses that you may have a hard time defeating can be easily burned, softening their combat and making it a complete push.

10

Demon of Taurus

Jumping Bridge

Guardians of Dark Souls Taurus Demon

After you escape the asylum from the dark souls, you will probably find your way to the Undeadburg. Here, you will face your first major roadblock: the Taurus Demon.

The Taurus Demon is not the hardest boss in the game, but for new players, it can be overwhelming. After all, a huge demon appeared on the bridge. Fortunately, you can lure him to the bridge where he spawned.

To do this, lure the demon to the broken part of the bridge, avoid its attacks, and be careful when entering it while its back is facing the broken part of the bridge. This will lure the Taurus Demon into jumping off the bridge to its death, and you don’t even need to swing your weapon.

Bell Gargoyles

Boost its AI

Wardens of Dark Souls Bell Gargoyles

You’ve crossed into the Undeadburg, climbed onto the rooftops, and are ready to ring the first Awakening Bell. Unfortunately, a gargoyle is blocking your way. After it reaches half life, a second gargoyle appears. That seems wrong, so let’s fix that.

To spawn the Bell Gargoyles, lure the enemy into the boss’s fog wall. From here, put your back to the wall of fog, wait for the enemy to attack, then parry and empty riposte. If done right, you’ll be pushed a bit into the boss arena, and the boss’s health bar will appear.

Now, run back to the fire, rest, and return to the boss arena. The first of the gargoyles will be solid ice, allowing you to hit its defenseless body. You still need to worry about the second gargoyle, but it only has half health and isn’t much of a threat.

8

The Capra Demon

Get your Dung Pies

Masters of Dark Souls Capra Demon

There is a second demon waiting for you in the Lower Undeadburg, and it is the Capra Demon. What makes this battle difficult is that the demon is in a small arena and has two dog enemies with it. Fortunately, you don’t even need to enter the arena to defeat this boss.

Start by going to the vendor on the waterways back from Undeadburg and buy Dung Pies and Blooming Purple Moss. You’ll need a lot of both, so be prepared to spend souls.

With this in hand, equip it in your hot bar, stand near the arch outside the Capra Demon boss arena, and throw Dung Pies into the arena. Using this method, you can poison the Capra Demon and watch its health slowly decrease.

7

Chaos Witch Quelaag

Arrows, Man-Eater, or Halberd

Masters of Dark Souls Quelaag

The Quelaag stands as another formidable foe for early-game players in Dark Souls. His fire is no joke, and it can be difficult to escape. Fortunately, you can burn him in one, not two, but three different ways.

First, you can summon Maneater Mildred, who can solo Quelaag, allowing you to stand on the sidelines and watch the battle unfold. In the other two ways, it is important to note that hitting Quelaag’s human body is amazing.

Everything was going well until these guys showed up.

Second, you can use the halberd, do a constant overhead swing that hits Quelaag’s human body, and make him submit. Finally, if you want to be really badass, you can jump to the side of the arena and pelt Quelaag’s human body with arrows until he is defeated. Why did he become a threat again?

6

Iron Golem

Throw him

Lords of Dark Souls iron Golem

The Iron Golem is a very formidable enemy. He climbs above you on the wall of Seni’s Castle, and he does not come down easily. That is, unless you know how to knock him off a bridge.

Unfortunately, you’ll need to attack the boss for this cheese to work. Move the Iron Golem to the back of the boss arena, where there is a small wall. Get the boss to attack you while standing near the bridge.

Now, use the Great Fire spell to knock him down. When the boss is surprised, he should fall over the wall and die. You can also take him down with weapons, but it will take longer.

5

Gwyndolin

The Bow Returns

Lords of the Dark Souls Gwyndolin

Gwyndolin isn’t the hardest thing in Dark Souls, but it can be annoying, as the arrows they shoot and the magic they cast can easily kill you if you’re not careful. The combat is often a drag as you have to constantly chase them.

If you want to slow down this fight, start by grabbing the Hawk Ring from behind the blacksmith in Anor Londo. On top of this, grab a longbow and a bunch of poison darts.

With all these things ready, enter the boss arena, but don’t charge Gwyndolin. Instead, slowly walk forward, aim up with your bow, and shoot Gwyndolin from a distance. They won’t throw arrows at you, and you can use poison to drain their health.

4

Sif

Outside the Arena

Dark Spirits Bosses Sif

We take no comfort in needing to put Sif down, as the wolf is a dear friend, but it is necessary to move forward in this game. Sif can be difficult, as the wolf swings around with a large sword that can throw you easily.

Cooking this battle is very easy, and can be done with the same ingredients used in Gwyndolin cheese. Grab the Hawk Ring, longbow, and Poison Arrows. Go to the boss arena, enter, and quit the game.

Survival games can be tough, but these best survival games test a survivor who is very knowledgeable about his stuff like Soul.

Loading again will put you out of the arena, but Sif will be waiting for you now. To the left of the fog wall at the entrance, there is a pile of debris. Jump on the rubble, climb up, and you’ll be able to see Sif. From here, keep shooting them with arrows until they succumb to your poison.

3

The Lost Demon

Magic Helps

Masters of Dark Souls Lost Demon

Stray Demon isn’t a necessary battle in Dark Souls, but it’s one that many return to the Undead Asylum to complete anyway. This version of the demon can be more annoying because of the small platform full of pillars, and the boss who uses magic.

Fortunately, you can easily cheese this boss with magic. Hold the Fall Control and Hidden Body spells. You’ll also want the Oolacile Ivory Catalyst. You’ll also want to grab some Dung Pies and Blooming Purple Moss.

Fall into the field with Fall Control and Hidden Body active to stay safe and avoid detection. Go around the corner of the arena, and throw the Lost Demon with the Dung Pie. Let the poison continue, poison the host again, and it will die without even knowing you are there.

2

Seath the Scaleless

Barbecued Dragon

Masters of Dark Souls Seath the Scaleless

The Seath is one of the biggest roadblocks in Dark Souls. This great dragon needs to be defeated, and it can be done by burning it alive. Alright, time for some pyromancy.

To easily cheese Seath the Scaless, grab Pyromancy Flame and the Fire Surge spell. Be sure to level up the Pyromancy Flame before the boss fight. You’ll also want the Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring and Inner Power.

Use Inner Strength before entering the boss arena. When you enter, run around Seath, destroy the crystal, then run up to him and use Fire Surge. His health bar will melt very quickly, making the battle last about 10 seconds. You can do this quickly with a Red Tearstone ring.

1

Ornstein and Smough

The Power Duo

Dark Souls Masters Ornstein and Smough

Perhaps the most recognizable boss in all of Dark Souls, Ornstein and Smough are the power duo that block your path in Anor Londo. The couple is known to be very difficult, as they attack together, and one of them absorbs the power of the one who defeats him first.

Fortunately, there is a way to mock this boss if you have trouble dealing with it. Start by clearing the enemies in front of the boss arena. After this, lure the silver knight into the room above the fog wall. From here, lift the knight with your back against the wall of fog, and riposte point blank.

If done correctly, a boss battle cutscene will play, and you’ll be out of the boss arena. Take out the hero, then wait for Ornstein and Smough to start attacking the wall of mist. From here, you can throw black grenades at the fog wall to kill them.

The final boss is the hardest of all

12 Hardest Final Bosses of All Time

Infamous and very annoying.
