Here’s Your Essential Free PlayStation Plus Games of the Month for June, 2026 – WGB
June is almost upon us, and with it comes another round of “free” games for all PlayStation Plus subscribers. Well, those stuck after the recent price hike, at any rate.

There is a small themed theme for this month that you can pick up from June 2nd onwards. That theme is about having friends, as all three games are geared more towards playing with other people. Thank you for pointing out my lack of friends, Sony – thank you very much.
First, we have it Embedded: A Fully Integrated System for PS4 and PS5, the 2022 game has a combined Opencritic score of 82. Team up with three other players and embark on a squishy adventure involving giant spiders. Bugger that. I’m out.
“Drop down and survive a dangerous, creature-infested backwater. Mysteriously shrunk to the size of ants, your intrepid little guest must fight for survival as he discovers the backwater from a new perspective,” reads a quote on the PlayStation Blog. “Explore the large garden by yourself, or with the help of up to three friends in online multiplayer, and collect the resources you need to build a shelter and weapons to defend yourself from the animals that are rampant in the backyard. As you progress, you will discover the truth behind your small transformation and find out what it takes to get back to your original size.”
Next we have Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 for PS4 and PS5, with a score of 71 on Opencritic. The obvious inspiration for this cartoon brawler is Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. It’s not that sophisticated, but I’ve played a bit of this and it’s a good fun local game to play with a few mates and a few beers.

Finally, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide for PS5 is probably my highlight of the month as I love the Warhammer: Vermintide co-op action game. Darktide is basically that, but with guns instead of swords. It’s just you, a few other players and dozens of enemies to slaughter. It has a good Opencritic score of 75.
