How to use Modded Maps

Using modified maps is actually very easy and takes no time at all. It’s pretty straightforward, and the game has a simple way of letting you know exactly what’s fixed and what isn’t.

To download mods, you’ll want to head over to the Steam Workshop page and start looking for something that might be of interest. Once you find something you like, you can click on it or hover over it and click the magnifying glass icon.

There should be a green register button that you can press that will start the download almost immediately. That’s all there is to it, so your friends have no excuse to want to try whatever map your favorite might be.

Recommended Mods

These best ways are partially consistent, but many of them are some of the most played and downloaded maps the game has to offer. They should give you good fun and give you a lot of variety while hunting your friends.

Senior Airport

If you’re looking for something to make you feel like you’re playing Peak all over again, look no further. Peak Airport has all sorts of things scattered about the place to make it more difficult, but it’s still the same place you know and love.

It’s smaller than other maps, so you may want to adjust your rules. That being said, it’s still pretty crowded with how much there is, so be sure to talk to your team about what might sound the most appropriate.

Minecraft House

This one is really strong, and not just because it’s so dense. There’s a lot going on here with the way everything looks in the Minecraft House setting, and it can be hard to separate players from the background to the extreme.

It’s a great map with some really fun hideouts, but it would be a much better map for something like Infection. Having more hunters means you’ll be able to cover more ground on this incredibly vertical map.

CS2 Mirage

If you want to compete with your friends, what better map to do it on than a competitive game map? It’s an interesting map that’s a little intense and can lead to some surprisingly funny moments.

It’s a little less colorful, but the overall map is still pretty solid with fun places to hide. If you’re not a CS2 fan, it might not have the same appeal, but it’ll be a good time regardless.

Meeting Room

While not based on anything outside of the real world, this map makes for a fun spin or two. It’s a decent size and has plenty of places to turn into hideaways, with a fun design.

Being less realistic, it can feel easy to figure out what’s really wrong, making it difficult for those who are sneaky. That unusual village feeling is very strong this time, so you may want to devote more time to painting.

This is a map that comes with a set rule for keeping things interesting. If you are a particularly talented artist, this map will give you a chance to show off your skills as you combine them with famous paintings, and hunters should stay away.

Hunters can’t get too close once the hunt has started, so it’s down to your paint skills to make this count. It can lead to good times and disappointing times, especially if you are a friend who can’t be creative.

Viking Dining

If you like to feel like a real Viking, there is no better place to go than this map. It has plenty of texture and texture throughout, so you can go all out with your color if you so choose.

It’s a decent size and very compact, so you may have to make some adjustments to the rules. This can be a great map, even if you’re playing casuals full of bugs, which we all are sometimes.
