OSRS: Leechfin Fishing Guide

The portal to Vampyrium has finally opened in the world of Old School Runescape, and in this land of red waters and dark skies, there are practical ways to train us. MMO lovers to hold hands.
One of the most anticipated features is the introduction of Leechfin fishing, a new high-quality training method for those anglers who prefer something a little more practical. This mode allows players to navigate the curved rivers of Vampyrium and engage in Guitar Hero-esque sequences. Does that sound confusing? Well, don’t worry, everything will be clear soon.
Let’s take a look at this new way of fishing and all the uses of this brand new fish!
What is required
Before you even think about moving on to Morytania, you’ll naturally need to complete a new quest, The Blood Moon Rises. This is arguably the hardest quest ever released on OSRS, as well final boss battle against Drakan is sure to test even the strongest players.
In addition, you will need 78 Fishing catching a Leechfin, or you can raise it to that level with 73-year-old Admiral Pie or a Super Fishing Potion at 72. However, this is not worth it until you get close to the level and have something like this Save.
Finally, you will need a The Big Fishing Net catching a Leechfin. Pick up one of these at the Grand Exchange or spawn at the Fishing Guild. If you want to reduce Leechfin for more profit, bring a a knife.
Leechfin method
How It Works
First, take your own Medal of Drakan then proceed to Castle Drakan. Jump through the portal to find yourself in Vampyrium.
Go east along the bank, and follow the Aranei Scout is a little further south. From here, the head in the northeast pass through the door of the King of Worms, then go a little further east until you come to the twin bridges that span the river.
Once here, go to any bridge and click Compare-net. Immediately, the Leechfin will start swimming towards you 3 different routes. You just need to click left, center, or right, and you will start catching all the fish that swim in your net. If you’ve done the fishing method in the Peril dungeon, this is pretty much the same.
The best way to catch every Leechfin that comes to you is to just click in front of it, changing your character in time. You will start hearing about it after a few lists.
Growing Experience
After a while, I reached a higher level of experience 120,000 xp per hour with extreme concentration. However, to do this, you need to catch almost every Leechfin that comes your way and throw your entire inventory down before the next wave arrives. You will need it shift-click drop do this on time.
This is definitely possible to maintain with practice, but you are more likely to gain 100k-110k XP if you don’t focus too hard. If you enjoy it 3-tick training, you will feel at home this way.
If you leave your character sitting still or too long without changing lanes, they will stop fishing immediately, which means you can’t really do this.
Blood Vessels
For those who are not interested in fishing knowledge, you can choose instead to create Blood Vessels by pressing the Blood Bags into the empty bottle. Blood Vessels were only available after completion Theater of Bloodso this is a good option for those who prefer a solo experience and don’t fancy their chances against Verzik.
By bringing a Knife, you can cut Leechfins, giving a token amount of cooking XP and a chance to produce a Blood Sac. 50 Blood Sacks equals 1 Pot of Blood.
You’ll quickly notice that this takes a long time to produce a decent number of Blood Vessels, while significantly reducing the XP you get because you won’t be catching all the fish. However, it’s a nice cash bonus for those looking to sell or recharge their Scythe.
