Palworld: How to Find Hardwood

If you are used to playing open world art games, you may be more than used to the endless cycle of combos that scale during the experience. Palworld, of course, is no exception.

At the beginning of the game, you will use your ax to cut down trees and use the harvested wood to make various things. However, there comes a time when new materials will start requiring Hardwood instead of regular wood.

But where do we get this material, and how do we automate the process, so we don’t spend hours cutting down trees? Let’s take a look!

Where to Find Hardwood

Cutting Hardwood Trees

There are several ways to get Hardwood, some easier than others. The most obvious is to simply cut down certain types of trees.

Naturally, the only trees you will find Hardwood in will be found later in the game. For me, it’s better to just move on Sakurajimain the Cherry Blossom area near the Boss Tower.

You will notice a lot of trees here large trunks and distinctively shaped bark. Easily swing your ax through these for a good amount of solid wood.

Buying Hardwood

Another very quick way to collect a good amount of Hardwood is to simply buy it from a A merchant. For example, you can buy it from the red jacket seller at Small Settlement is west of the starting point for being just a little 100 Gold per piece.

This is great for early game when you only need a small amount. However, since you need more Hardwood, this quickly becomes a waste of money.

Logging Area II

As soon as you have collected about 100 Hardwood, you will want to think about creating a Logging Site. The second level of the Lumberyard will allow your Friends to simply cut down the Hardwood trees while you’re out, automating the process to save a lot of time.

For this, you will need Episode 43 and the following items:

100x Hardwood
50x Stone
20x Paldium Fragment
5x Parts of Ancient Civilizations

To cut down these trees quickly, you will need a few people High Lumbering. Friends who are successful in this include: Verdash, Bushi, Mossanda, Xenovader, Mammorest and Wumpoamong others.
