Slay The Spire 2 comes with a lot of new and exciting changes. From stylish new characters, to unique keywords, and now unique Quest cards that give you a little extra challenge while climbing the Spire!
Of course, at first it may not be immediately obvious what these quest cards do, or if it’s worth trying! The Spire never gives powerful blessings for free. Roguelike veterans the original knows that for sure. Power always comes at a cost.

So let’s take a look at the new Quest cards, how to get them, and the rewards that could make or break your next run!
Where to find Quests
If you’re specifically looking for quests to be completed, you should first head to the multiple quest event marker while climbing the Spire. These are called Unknown events in the legend of your map and can have many effects.
The unknown can lead to anything from a special event, giving you a choice of a number of effects, a normal fight or even a visit to the store. The quest cards we’re talking about are available through a special event, giving you the chance to take a quest or leave it behind for a penalty.
How Do Applications Work?
Although it may seem counterintuitive to take on the quest, it’s not all sunshine and roses. If you accept a Quest, a Quest card will be added to your deck. The problem is, this card is completely useless until you fulfill the limits of the set quest. It’s an unplayable curse, making your brick up.
This is not a big problem if you can finish the quest quickly. For example, the Byrdonis Quest requires you to hatch an egg in a resting place. It’s that simple.

However, if you look at the quest shown in the first image above, some quests require you to hold a quest card throughout the Law. In Slay the Spire, you often want your desk to be as small and light as possible, so having a dead card for every action is brutal. However, 600 coins it’s a lot of money. A potential game winner!
So whenever you encounter a quest, it’s up to you to decide if the benefit of having a dead card in your deck is worth the outcome.
Quest Rewards
Completing the quest can give you very powerful rewards. Whenever I see one, I’ve been picking it up, as more often than not, you can deal with a dead card in your deck as long as you have a decent draw engine.
You can get new, powerful cards like them Byrd Swoopunique fossils such as History lessonor a ton of free money, jars or general scraps. While you shouldn’t do it yourself when you finish the quest (if you need to heal, then heal!), the potential rewards are always worth it.
Slay the Spire 2 is in early access, so as time goes on, it’s possible that new quests will be added to the game.
