BBL Esports and All Gamers sent to lower bracket for VALORANT Masters Santiago Playoffs

Yesterday’s second day of play at VALORANT Masters Santiago saw the first regional seed BBL Sports (EMEA) and All Gamers (China)’s opening game losing record.

Meanwhile, the winner of the VALORANT Champions NRG and the American team G2 Sports will next face Paper Rex and Nongshim RedForce in the top bracket games respectively.

NRG Worked Against BBL Games

The day began with a back-and-forth series between reigning VALORANT Champion NRG and EMEA rookie roster BBL Esports, which ultimately saw the experienced team come out on top. 2-1.

The first map in the series seems to serve as proof that EMEA teams still haven’t caught up Pearl. Although they seem to be leading the map at home, BBL Esports lost to their American rival in the international stage. NRG, on the other hand, had everything going their way. Two shootout wins, a snowball on the offensive side, outstanding individual play and an impactful lapse allowed the third Americas to steal the pick of the BBL Esports map 13-6.

Interestingly, BBL Esports seems more comfortable with NRG’s map selection, It was an abyss. In the first half, the Turkish team caught NRG off guard with their signature spread attack, leading to a 9-3 lead. After that, the first EMEA persisted in several close rounds to take out the points with game a 13-6 victory. Yusuf’Lar0k‘ Kanber contributed greatly to his team’s success, achieving a kill ratio (KDA) of 27/9/5 against Abys alone.

The last tournament took place on Separatewhere BBL Esports took a few rounds to figure out how to shut down NRG’s direct site hits, leading the first half 7-5. Similarly, BBL Esports got off to an explosive start on their offensive end, but were later slowed down by opposing Vyse meva and Odin sprays. Despite taking the map in overtime, BBL Esports eventually lost to NRG 15-17.

G2 Esports Dominated All Gamers

The second game of the day saw three-time VCT Americas 2025 winner G2 Esports sweep China’s VCT first seed All Players 2-0.

All Gamers have found themselves behind since the beginning of Separate. Following a shootout win and a bonus conversion from G2, All Players struggled to put together four rounds of defense. Although Roman’f4 with‘ Smirnov brought in some impressive pieces, his team suffered a lot due to their inability to do defensive work. G2, on the other hand, found great success with their active defense setup, winning the map 13-6.

Because It was an abyssboth teams locked in the recently beaten Harbor as their second base. All Gamers showed strong attack strategies with this agent, strengthened by the outstanding aim of each of its members. However, G2 quickly reversed momentum back in its favor thanks to flawless ground handling and flood restoration. After a 9-3 halftime lead, it was only a matter of time until the American second seed took the series 13-4.

Andrej of G2babybay‘ Francisty was the most broken player in the series. Playing Waylay on both maps, babybay achieved an impressive KDA of 34/17/9 and an average combat score (ACS) of 254.

Similar to First Lower Brackets

Thanks to the win today, NRG and G2 Esports will remain in the top bracket of the Playoffs at Masters Santiago. On March 9, these two teams will compete against Paper Rex and Nongshim RedForce, respectively.

However, BBL Esports and All Gamers will battle it out in the first round of the Playoffs later today (March 8). At 5 PM BST, BBL Esports will take on FURIA, followed by a clash between All Gamers and Gentle Mates.
