Gamescom Latam 2026 Hits Record-Breaking Results Compared to Last Year

Gamescom Latam 2026 has just come to an end, and the organizers revealed that the third edition achieved record-breaking results. Compared to last year, the growth was 17.5%, resulting in more than 154,000 visitors. This turnout further strengthens Gamescom Latam’s position as the leading gaming event in Latin America, both for indie titles and now for AAA releases. In addition to this impressive audience, the event brought in industry veterans and showcased a lineup of over 400 games, 60 of which were new games.

It wasn’t just the community that enjoyed Gamescom Latam. The B2B side of the event also flourished, with 175 exhibitors from 23 countries, more than 700 studios, 1,100 companies in the B2B sector from 59 countries, 1,230 products, and 122 collaborative centers. This professional hall hosted more than 13,000 meetings—a 46% increase over last year’s edition—with an expected $180 million in new business. These statistics only strengthen the role of Gamescom Latam as the leading business forum in the Latin American gaming industry.

The 2026 edition brought together some of the world’s best players in the industry, including Arc System Works, Big Uncle Games, Blizzard Entertainment, Capcom, Electronic Arts, Level Up! Games, Nintendo, PlayStation, Remedy Entertainment, Riot Games, Roblox, SEGA, Skybound Entertainment, Supercell, The Pokémon Company, and Warner Bros. Games.

10 Upcoming Indie Games To Be Excited About From LVLUP Expo 2026

I hung out with a bunch of cool indies last week, and these were my favorites.

Visitors have access to hundreds of titles, from major releases to indie games, such as LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, Invincible VS, Phantom Blade Zeroagain Marvel Tokon: Fighting Soulswhich are presented to the public in a special playable experience before the official launch.

Before it became Gamescom Latam, the event was called BIG Festival, and in honor of those roots, it still hosts the biggest indie awards in the world. In the 2026 edition, the festival saw more than 960 performances submitted from 75 countries. In total, 81 articles were selected as finalists in 18 categories. Brazil has recorded 451 game appearances, showing a consistent presence on the international stage. In Latin America, countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Uruguay also played an important role, with 28 projects selected as finalists.

The plan now is to keep investing in the event to make Gamescom Latam 2027 even bigger, both for the public and for industry professionals, bringing more visibility to indie games and major AAA releases while promoting the gaming scene in Latin America.
