Baldur’s Gate 3 Fan Favorite Character To Star In Official Novel

Here’s some really exciting news for Baldur’s Gate 3 fans: it looks like we’ll be getting another Astarion bite sooner than we thought!
Larian Studios recently announced that the game’s universe is expanding into new territory, as the studio has closed a partnership with it Witches of the Coast and other book publishers in an exciting collaboration that will delight vampire fans, collectors, and those interested in the knowledge of the game.
From Prequels to Cookbooks
According to the official information (thanks, Polygon), the collaboration will have four books in total, each offering a very different experience – all of which you can check out in the cover gallery above!
The first one is Baldur’s Gate 3: Astarionnovel that serves as a prequel to Astarion’s personal story, which takes place before the events of the 2023 game. It will show his years of slavery under the vampire lord Cazador Szarr, so we already know we can expect to see a more vulnerable side of this fan favorite character.

Moving on to the next chapter of this partnership, we have it Baldur’s Gate 3: Necromancy of the Thaywhich is a souvenir destined for collectors. It is a blank notebook that faithfully reproduces Thay’s Necromancy, one of the most iconic books from the game.
It perfectly recreates the screaming skull that covers it, featuring a foil seal and graphic “paste” to prevent its unholy contents from leaking out so easily. The child is scheduled to be released on July 21.

This one arrives later in the summer, although an exact date has not been set.
