How to Save Everyone from Life is Amazing: Reuniting

The stakes have never been higher in a Life is Strange entry. Okay, maybe not that high-level, but it’s still a matter of life or death as Max and Chloe try to prevent a fiery disaster at Caledon University in Life is Strange: Reunion.

Although we have reconciliation and revelations of Max and Chloe, at the same time you need to prepare to save as many lives as possible, which leads to the end of the game. After all, saving everyone ensures a great ending and rewards you with a much-missed trophy/achievement.

But if you plan to get it in your first playthrough or your second, make sure you keep reading my guide, where I’ll explain how to save each important character related to the ending and get that sweet Platinum Trophy/100% easy completion.

In case it wasn’t already obvious, the biggest spoilers for Life is Strange: The Reunion will be discussed in this guide. I highly recommend that you do your first play through blind and try to save everyone in the next game.

Loretta

Loretta is probably the easiest character to save, even if you don’t mind the game’s secret aspect or suspicious aspects. And just for the record, I don’t think any previous interactions, like stopping her from going to Mabon’s party, would affect things.

To save Loretta, you just need to stop the fire outbreak plans on Ren, which can be accomplished by selecting him as your prime suspect and reporting him to Noelle during Chloe’s Decision scene at the Snapping Turtle bar. Doing so will ensure that Ren doesn’t burn down one of Caledon’s largest buildings, where Loretta ends up trapped in the library.

Owen

The newly installed president of Caledon had fleeting but equally tainting ideas about the future. But in the end, he is not a despicable person who deserves to die by burning.

Regardless, it is actually much easier to save him from death than one might hope or think. As Loretta, you can easily prevent Owen’s death by simply stopping Ren’s hot plans as Chloe. If his plan succeeds, Max and Owen will try to save the students during the break, but this will later result in Owen being pronounced dead at the scene.

Anthony the Poet

Here is another simple letter that you can easily save. During the line of fire, Once you have the key to the caretaker’s room, all you have to do is go to the front entrance of the Everett Observatory.

Get close, and you should find an option to smash the door with a screwdriver. This allows Max to shout and signal to any students trapped inside the nearest exit to escape.

Noelle

Noelle is a Caledon guard who butted heads with Chloe in earlier episodes, and ends up being one of the MVP rescuers in the finale, as long as you don’t miss one piece of the puzzle to ensure her safety.

In the Fire Line scene, in an effort to save as many lives as possible, you will soon meet the caretaker’s office, where you can take a wrench and point to the location of the water valves. However, be sure to grab a gas mask here, just sleeping in the guard’s car. Once you get to Noelle, give her the gas mask. This will allow him to easily rescue students and anyone else trapped in the fire.

Jeanette

It is understood that at an earlier time Cat and Max scene, be sure to connect and join in the conversation with Jeannette about her quest to enroll in Grad School.

Now this is someone you can easily miss saving during all the aronic outbursts in the Fire line scene, because I know I did in my first playthrough. As soon as the Line of Fire scene starts, head up to the Observatory, BUT BE SURE to check the bulletin board on the right here.

Checking the notice board allows you to see the graduate admissions counseling form. This allows Max to think that Jeanette might be inside Observatory room 112. And when you later meet Noelle, you will have the option to tell her to rescue Jeanette, as well as inform her of any other things.

Vinh

If you look closely at everything and manage to find all the optional evidence related to Max’s side of the crime, and spoiler alert, the game will automatically identify Vinh as the main suspect in the fiery explosion at Abraxas House.

And just like that, you can stop Vinh’s death by suing him when he is given a choice during the Max’s Choice scene in Life is Strange: Reunion. This will then begin the sequence after Ren’s fire stop, where Max is unable to stop Vinh from disposing of the body buried in the house by his fiery accident.

And now it brings us to the tricky characters to save during the entire final part of the game.

First, the important thing here is to make sure Max tells Safi about the fire in one of the largest selections in the Times Square at Turtle. This will raise Safi’s trust in us and improve our overall relationship so that the game can reach its climax.

Finally, you’ll come across a scene in “At the Lighthouse”, where Safi teleports herself and Chloe to a nightmare, and now it’s up to Chloe to stop Safi from committing (for lack of a better word) seppuku.

You will be given a series of dialogue options to convince and bring sense to Safi. I recommend choosing the following options to prevent Safi’s death in Life is Strange Reunion:

“Max loves you.”
“He told you about the fire.” (Also, be sure to tell Safi about the fire predictions in the earlier scenes)
“It’s been painful since Maya died.” OR “You are lost in your power.”
“You know you can do better.” OR “Mothers can be very forgiving.”
“Okay. Let’s be B*stars” OR “We live too.”

If done correctly, Safi will materialize and leave the lighthouse with Chloe to escape with Moses from the observatory fire. You will do it again get an award/achievement (“You’re Coming With Me”) by saving Safi in this section.

Finally, you will know that you have completed the requirements and saved everyone when you reach the Memorial area. If you have successfully saved everyone you could, the memorial wall will be replaced by Noelle and Max’s heroic actions without any major injuries or losses, as indicated by the newspaper headline. And right after the speech from Yasmin, you should also be awarded the Super Max medal/achievement.
