Super Meat Boy 3D doesn’t bring a ton of new things to the party other than the game being in a new state, but it’s still a great time. Another option is Club Meat he did change things when bringing the game to 3D was to add more terrifying boss encounters as well.

None of the bosses in the game are “battles,” but rather, encounters or experiences where, in general, you need to win to survive long enough to outrun your enemy.
In Super Meat Boy 3D’s first world, The Forest, the area will be covered with Sawhalanthropus, a giant, chainsaw-wielding robot ready to chase you down and cut you down to (even smaller) size.

The Boss Video Guide
Truth be told, beating this boss in SMB3D is all about learning the right way/way. There are no a a ton of tips you can really give without that. So, a video guide, like the one directly above, is probably your best bet.

How to Beat Sawhalanthropus
Of course, if you prefer text-based guides, I’ve got you covered there too. This battle starts with Meat Boy needing to go to the right edge of the screen. Be careful, if you get too far ahead of the auto-scrolling nature of this boss, the laser wall will eventually kill you and force you to start over.
The boss chainsaw on the right side of the screen will swipe towards you, then sweep back. Jump both while making the platform as far to the right as possible.
In the next large open area, AoE missile targets will flood the ground. Stay in the center to avoid, while making sure to avoid the robot chainsaw coming at you as well.
From here, it’s the same as you keep going in the right direction. Avoid the chainsaws, get out of the AoEs, and keep playing the arena until you reach the final boss sequence.
Remember that the last chainsaw swipe the boss makes is delayed a few seconds above your next platform, so try to be patient here if you don’t want to be split in half.
Finally, you’ll just need to make a few more platforms, now moving upwards. Note that there will still be arrows coming in, so you can’t dilly-dally. And note that if you like, you can jump and accelerate from the first place on the right to the second, completely stop on the left.
Get to the end, then jump on the boss to win and move on to World 2, The Waste.
