There are many different types of puzzles in Crimson Desert. There are Abyss Puzzles found in the sky, Abyss Cressets found scattered throughout the open world, hidden ruins with secrets inside, skyscraper Spires, and strong boxes found inside many of the game’s buildings.
Strongboxes are considered mini-puzzles of the game. However, just because they are considered “minor” does not mean they are not worthy of elimination. Some of the strong boxes in Crimson Desert offer the best rewards that can help you complete quests, artifacts, etc.

Arboria Castle Strongbox Location
Arboria Castle Strongbox can be found inside Arboria Castle e hills of no return This is Hernand’s place. When you first get to the castle, enter the door and take a right, continue until you reach the yellow and red tank.
From these tanks, take a left to enter the castle and find a set of stairs on your right. Taking these small stairs up will lead you to the Arboria Castle strongbox, located in the left corner of the room.

How to unlock Arboria Castle Strongbox
To open the strong box in Arboria Castle in the Crimson Desert, you need to lower the cylinders by rotating the dial in front of you. The main goal here is to lower the cylinders into the correct position, so when you press the right button, the cylinders rise to fit the picture perfectly.
Starting from the left cylinder and making your way to the right cylinder, the Arboria Castle strongbox solution can be found below.
- Cylinder #1: Lower it three times.
- Cylinder #2: Reduce it four times.
- Cylinder #3: Reduce it five times.
- Cylinder #4: Reduce it four times.
- Cylinder #5: Reduce it twice.
Once you have completed the above steps, press the right button and select the option to rotate it to the right. It is very important that you press the button before opening it, otherwise the hard box will not open.
If you end up making a mistake when lowering the cylinders, such as lowering the cylinder too many times, you can reset the puzzle by quickly traveling to the nearest Abyss Next. Fortunately, there is an Abyss Nexus near the entrance to Arboria Castle.

Arboria Castle Strongbox reward
The reward for completing the Arboria Castle strongbox in the Crimson Desert is an Equipment Manual. Once you’ve grabbed the Equipment Manual inside the hard box, go ahead and open it in your inventory and select the option to inspect it.
After examining the Equipment Manual, you’ll learn that its main purpose is to serve as a guide to how to operate the plant within Arboria Castle.
However, in order to actually use this factory properly and get any rewards for doing so, you must first have the quest “Restarting the Elixir Factory”. This quest is available after completing the “Queen of the Silkspun Cradle” quest.
The reward for using the factory is the complete elixir, which is needed to complete the quest related to this factory. Doing this will unlock Arboria Castle as a deployment point for your Greymane staff.
