How to get to Sunreach Sky Islands

For Pal trainers everywhere, the release of Palworld 1.0 finally brings the beloved creature capture game full circle and out of early access, mostly without a price increase despite an influx of additional content. That content includes various new locations scattered across Palpagos, as well as a host of new items, weapons, base structures, Pals, and more. This way, even regular players who have been around since the game started have more to do alongside newcomers.
One of the most prominent new locations in the game, floating high in the sky above the mainland, is Sunreach. If you’re wondering how to, well, get to this new place, here’s how to get to Sunreach in Palworld, and what you can find up there.
How to reach the sun at Palworld
Sunreach is one of the most unique places to explore in Palworld as part of the game’s landmark 1.0 release. However, getting there is not a cakewalk (depending on your progress). Thankfully, there are a few different ways to go about it.
The first way to get to Sunreach is through following the events of the main story. By now, you should be able to access Feybreak and all of its content, and that’s where your goal lies. You will need it to defeat Bjorn and Bastigor of Feybreak Towerlocated at on the southern tip of Feybreak Island in the southwest corner of the world map in -1288, -1664 (seen below). According to our guide for this particular boss, his item of choice is Ice, so Fire Pals are your best friend in this situation.
Once defeated, a mysterious portal will open at the top of his tower, where you will be automatically transported after your victory. Just connect to this portal, and you will get information ‘move to another altar’. Choose the ‘Yes’ option, and you’ll be teleported all the way to Sunreach, specifically on the eastern side near the Enchanted Firmament. You can talk to the nearest Sunreach Citizen NPC to get more information about the area and continue the main story with Hope Springs Eternal main mission.
Another way to get to Sunreach, regardless of story progression, is the DIY way. In other words, fly to the floating archipelago yourself. Rest assured, there are no anti-aircraft towers to land your show on there. You will need an awesome flying Pal with enough power, like The Jetragon or Suzakuand a saddle designed to ride them. With that, ride yourself to Sunreach from a safe and nearby launch site, preferably somewhere on the southeast side of Feybreak Island.
Things to Do in Sunreach at Palworld
Sunreach is one of the many new locations added as part of the Palworld 1.0 release, and one of the largest from an exploration perspective (second only to World Tree). It features a variety of amazing locations across its many floating islands, as well as dozens of new and popular characters, and delivering Ultimate Pal Spheres or better (eg – Exotic, Sol, Ancient) is recommended. There are also dungeons, and the Tower Boss comes to the center of the region, where you will find Auri and Shaolong waiting for a suitable opponent.
There are also new artifacts that you can farm here, such as Soralite, although note that it can only be mined with a unique tool called the Plasma Multicutter (Level 54 Technology) which you will need to build first. You’ll need a few resources for that, like Cryogenic Coolant, so make sure you get your Lamballs in a row before you start grinding.
