Pet Birds, House Changes, and More Cats

Pearl Abyss has been releasing Crimson Desert patches at an incredible pace, adding a ton of highly requested content like permanent extra mounts, and they show no signs of slowing down.
Patch 1.04 has just been released, which adds birds to the list of animals you can tame as your pet, and changes the housing system in a big way.
Pearl Abyss stunned as Crimson Desert player achieved Platinum in 56 hours
Sleep is for the weak, at least if you want to platinum Crimson Desert in less than three weeks.
Up until now, the house you find in Crimson Desert had no real purpose other than being a little house decoration game, but now it’s very useful.
Crimson Desert Adds Major Improvements to the Housing System and Many Pets
If you’re the type of Greymane who prioritizes collecting pets over silver armor or better, you’ll be happy to hear that patch 1.04 not only added five new types of pets, but you can now become a bird whisperer.
In order to gain the trust of the birds, you’ll need to complete a request to receive a newly added item, the Sotdae of Bond, which will allow you to feed certain birds you encounter throughout Pywel.
A Bonding Sigil item has also been added, which can be attached to your cat to ensure it stays on your shoulder for a long time.
I’m 75 hours into the Crimson Desert already, and my house is still empty, but now I have a very good reason to spend time making it home. Pearl Abyss added four new storage containers that can be placed using the housing system, and also added the ability to change the appearance of your house.
The final containers added to Crimson Desert in Patch 1.04 are as follows:
- Strong Chest Gathering – It has 1,000 slots and allows you to use items stored inside to craft and refine (you don’t need to carry resources in your inventory).
- Kuku Cooler (40 slots) and Enhanced Kuku Cooler (330 Slots) – Used to store food items and ingredients. Ingredients stored in these coolers can be used if they are not in your inventory.
- Collectibles Chest – Has 1,000 slots and can store crafting recipes and quest items.
- Added storage for clothes in the wardrobe – Can be purchased at furniture stores and has a maximum storage of 1,000 spaces.
These new storage containers change the game in a big way, as players no longer need to carry tons of resources around when they want to cook, craft, or refine, allowing them to spend more time exploring instead of doing inventory management tasks.
Until now, the house you find in the Crimson Desert has had no real purpose other than being a small game that decorates the house.
Greymanes now have a game-changing reason to channel their inner decorator, and Pearl Abyss has added more house customization options to play with. Players can now change their house layout by unlocking new house types based on the Greymane Camp expansion level.
New difficulty options have also been added to the game, so players can choose from easy, normal, or hard modes, and Pearl Abyss has also said that a boss recovery feature will be added soon.
