While I wish this game was a little more passable, I wouldn’t write it off as a complaint per se. I wish we could get a remake, as the modern graphics would make it more immersive.

I was one of those kids who was born too late to watch the original trilogy in a movie theater, but just in time to experience the cinematic rebirth of the franchise with the prequel trilogy. Star Wars: Episode 3 – Revenge of the Sith in my opinion, the best movie of the lot. However, the same cannot be said for the game based on it.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love this title, but I would also agree that the combat mechanics seemed limited, even for its time. That said, the alternate ending and the level with the attack on the Jedi Temple are some of my favorite parts of the game and I always felt like I was living the experience. While Star Wars: Episode 3 – Revenge of the Sith is not one of the star Wars with the best lightsaber fighting, fixed a few things and multiplayer wasn’t too bad.

Although some people call this game a joyless rip-off of trying to revive a successful franchise from a few years ago, I have to admit that I personally enjoyed it. Sure, it lacked a few things here and there, and it felt empty at times, but it delivered on what it promised for the most part, and was actually fun to play.

But if you focus on the multiplayer aspects of the game and unlock the best weapons, it’s not too bad, and you can easily spend hours playing it without realizing it.

While I do enjoy strategy games here and there, I wouldn’t say that I enjoy them as much as I do those that focus exclusively on FPS or RPG mechanics. When this title’s predecessor came out, I was immediately hooked by the silky-smooth combat mechanics it had to offer, and I was so excited to play a new, fresh character. The story is in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor it is rich and full of nuances. We get to see more familiar faces and expand on Cal’s journey and the development of his lightsaber and Force abilities.

The concept of Tanalorr and the arduous journey to find it is one of the most interesting experiences I’ve had in the universe of this franchise, and it made me feel like I was a part of something bigger than myself.
