3.6% of All Battlefield 6 Matches Are Affected by Cheaters

One of the inevitable things when it comes to online gaming are cheaters who ruin the fun for everyone. Regardless of whether there are ways to combat cheating, one will almost always find a way to avoid it.
It doesn’t help that there are tons of cheat providers out there looking to make a quick buck by promising these “gamer” wallhacks, aimbots, and more.

Another recent title that has managed to protect cheaters for the most part is Battlefield 6. But even EA still sees a fair amount of cheaters compared to other games; a very small percentage are able to do it.
Battlefield 6’s Anti-Cheat Keeps Cheaters At Bay
In the new Anticheat Metrics update for January, DICE talked about the Match Infection Rate (MIR), which is the percentage of matches in the entire game that have been adversely affected by at least one cheater. This includes all suspected cheaters, even those people who Battlefield Studios may not have enough evidence to prove are cheating, to enforce punishment.
At the beginning of January, EA said the MIR was at 2.38%, and during the month, it gradually increased with only a few points of decrease. The reasons for this were DICE’s significant increase in their ability to detect and prevent six “Secret” cheats that intentionally avoid having a major impact and thus avoid player reports and obvious discovery signals.
DICE has managed to thwart more than 94% of Battlefield 6 cheats
The other was a new method of accelerating the ban that was tested on January 18 and was implemented on January 26. Even then, January still saw a gradual increase ending at 3.60% on January 31 (time for development).
Research Shows Almost 50% Of Gamers Have Considered Quitting Because Of Cheating, And That’s Wrong.
The PlaySafe ID report shows that a large number of players have considered giving up games, and the epidemic of game cheats supports them.
In January, EA Javelin Anti-Cheat blocked 384,918 attempts to cheat or interfere with the game before it affects the matches. DICE is still tracking 224 cheat programs, hardware cheats, vendors, resellers, and the like. Of those, 224, 212 of them (94.6%) are said to report the failure of features, detection notifications, downtime, or even offline cheats.
This is a huge win not just for Battlefield fans but multiplayer games in general. The fewer cheats there are, the better each game’s community is.
In other Battlefield 6 news, EA has poached the producer of The Division franchise to help with the future of the franchise.
