How to Find and Use the Buried City Hall Key

This article was updated on April 17, 2026 to include additional information on key areas in ARC Raiders. It was first published on November 13, 2025.
In ARC Raiders, there are many ways to get your hands on valuable resources, legendary weapons, and game-changing blueprints, but using keys is definitely one of the most reliable. Unfortunately, the keys themselves are rare, but you can get some of them as rewards from tutorials, and find them randomly throughout your high adventure.

This guide explains where to use the Spaceport Container Storage key in ARC Raiders.
The keys you get will give you access to rooms with a higher chance of dropping high-level loot. Some of the best blueprints and weapons I’ve found so far come from locked rooms, so they’re worth tracking down.
In this guide, I will show you where to use the Buried City Hall Key. Thankfully, it’s not particularly tricky to find, so you have a good chance of looting it and getting off the map in one piece.
Where to Find the Key to the Buried City Hall
Finding keys to ARC Raiders is a tricky business, but there are websites like Metaforge where the data pictured above is collected for us to learn from. This is very useful, as the key drop in ARC Raider is fixed, although there are also trends to consider that can help you in your search.
More often than not, players have found the key to the City Hall in breakable containers, although lockers and boxes also seem to allow for decent bets as well. Most people have found this key in the Buried City itself, which is pretty easy since that’s where you’ll need to use the key anyway.
Since looking in the Buried City seems to be your best option for finding the key, it’s always the best plan to search the map settlements. In particular, Grandioso Apartments and Abandoned Road Camp may have had a positive effect.
However, keep your eyes open everywhere. There is always a chance to find any keys elsewhere, including other key rooms or high-level loot areas.
Prepare to Start
To start your journey, select the Buried City map (seen above) and don’t forget to put the city hall key in your safe pocket in case you get into trouble.
This place gave me a couple of powerful weapons, so I picked up a walking light—I went in with the trusty pistol to give me more room to hold weapons. You will want as much space in your backpack as possible to bring all your goodies back to this locked room.
You might also consider bringing a Raider Hatch key if you’d like to make a safe base in a cell instead of leaving the subway.
Find City Hall on the map
Once at the top, open your map and find the town hall building seen above. Place a location tag on it for easy tracking.
You’ll want to approach from the northwest, but this depends on where you came from on the map in the first place.
There you will use the Buried City Hall Key
Once you arrive at the town hall, the door you are looking for will be directly in the center of the building, under the tower, highlighted by the arrow in the picture above.
Unlike other locked room areas in ARC Raiders that take some navigational skills to access, this one is very straightforward.
This also means that your chances of being spotted in the room by other roaming intruders are high. As a precaution, close the door behind you to protect yourself.
Armory Case on the Top Floor
This is one of the more lucrative areas I’ve explored, so you’ll likely find high-level loot everywhere, but there’s an armory case upstairs (seen above) that has a high chance of having an epic item in it.
As you can see in the picture below, the Buried City Hall has the potential of not just one legendary weapon, but many, as my Raider, Gorgon, was lucky enough to get a Bobcat, and an upgraded Bettina.
Of course, your results will vary depending on the RNG of the locked room in your particular run, but you still have a good chance of getting valuable gear here. Good luck, Raider!
