The panel includes FBI Director Kash Patel, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, and Coinbase Chief Legal Officer Paul Grewal.
Kash Patel was confirmed as FBI Director by the Senate in February 2025 and has disclosed his personal holdings in Bitcoin ETFs and Bitcoin miner Core Scientific. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche ordered the Department of Justice to end targeting crypto-assets by April 2025, marking a shift in the DOJ’s approach to the use of digital assets. Paul Grewal has served as Coinbase’s Chief Legal Officer since 2020, previously serving as a US federal magistrate judge for the Northern District of California and as Deputy General Counsel at Facebook, and has been consulting with regulators regarding the legal frameworks of the digital asset industry.
