How to Cleanse the Sanctum of Benediction in the Crimson Desert

There are a number of puzzles in Crimson Desert, some of which require you to use the game’s fast travel system while others are part of the quests. Many of the puzzles you will solve include Abyss Cressets and Sanctums.

There are several Sanctums that must be cleared in order to complete the Witch of Wisdom quest. To accomplish this task, you need to unite the Sanctums, returning them to their former glory.

If you are high in the snowy mountains of Hernand, you may have come across the Sanctum of Benediction. Let’s break down how to solve this puzzle in Crimson Desert.

Opening the Sanctum

There are a few Sanctums to clear in the Crimson Desert, but you won’t be able to reach them quickly. Instead, you will need to advance the main story of the game until you meet the Wizard of Wisdom in chapter 5.

Unfortunately, if you visit these Sanctums too early in the game, you’ll see a popup saying you haven’t met the right person to reach this place, requiring you to advance the story before you can complete the puzzle.

Once you meet the Wizard of Wisdom, you will have access to all the Sanctums scattered around the map. Of course, you will still need to complete the puzzles in each area.

The Sanctum of Benediction is located in the northern part of Hernand. If you travel from the big city, you will head west to the snowy mountain peaks.

We recommend that you follow the path north from the Spire of the Stars, as this path is not overly tricky, and there are fast travel areas along the way that can act as strongholds.

Cleaning the Sanctum of Benediction

When you first arrive at the Sanctum of Benediction, it will be surrounded by enemies. You will need to take out all the enemies before you can solve the puzzle and clear the Sanctum.

Once this is done, find the large building at the top of the Sanctum. From here, go back down the stairs leading up to the building and enter the room a little further down the stairs.

Use Axiom Force to take the power block inside the room. The power block is very obvious. Take this piece and place it in the open area in the upper building of the Sanctum. Use the Force Palm to push the block into place and power it up.

Now that this is done, you will need to replace one of the balls placed in the towers around the central structure. Look away from the building and find a window above the stairs.

Jump over the window, and you should be able to see the ball inside the room through the window. From here, use Axiom Force to grab the stone orb and drag it to your Kuku pot that you got by rebuilding the ihko at the beginning of the campaign.

Drop down from the ledge, go back on top of the building, and drop the orb into your Kuku pot. This will make it appear next to you. Now you can use Axiom Force to place the orb on top of the tower and the missing top.

You don’t need to be perfect when placing the orb at the top of the tower. It won’t fit perfectly, but it won’t matter. Once placed, climb onto the tower, jump, and use the Force Palm to place the orb in place, completing the structure.

When the building is finished, you will see it in action. You will also get a cutscene where the Witch of Wisdom appears, and thank you for your service.
