Instead of a new digital input or a mainline shooter, Halo Studios and small game experts at Mantic Games they have gathered to announce Halo: The Emergence Campaign – Board Game. Yes, you read that right! Grandmaster jumps from your TV screen straight to your tablet for a fully interactive experience.
To some fans, the idea of translating an action-packed, fast-paced FPS to a portable board game may seem strange, but the creative minds behind it know exactly what they’re doing. This tablet project is specially designed for one or two players, aiming to carefully recreate the iconic single player campaign of the classic game from 2001, Halo: Combat Evolved – just as its title says.

Halo fans new and old should scramble to play these eight Halo games before the launch of Halo: Campaign Evolved on PC, PS5, and Xbox.
“[It is] an action-packed board game set in the epic setting of the Great King,” reads the official announcement.
Also, according to the developers, Halo: Campaign Evolved – The Board Game is scheduled to be released worldwide in Q4 2026, which includes the last months of the year, from October to December. Additionally, the tablet experience has been given a recommended age rating of 13+, which means it will pack enough plot depth to keep young and old fans fully engaged.
Instead of a new digital entry or a main shooter, Halo Studios and the mini-game experts at Mantic Games have joined forces to announce Halo: The Campaign Transformed – The Board Game.
Although the details are brief at the moment, we can already guess what to expect from this tabletop game, as Mantic Games is a veteran specialist who is already familiar with the franchise, having launched the mini-game Halo: Flashpoint back in 2024. In that previous project, they brought detailed miniatures and simple rules – so my detailed description based on that we’ll see a far-based guess on what we’re going to produce.
To make things even more interesting, the long-awaited road for Halo fans looks to be full.
