The Elden Ring movie has been officially announced, and not much has yet to be done. Stills have been leaked, giving the movie its best look yet in terms of reality. So far, we only know that the studio and Alex Garland probably intend to retell the story of the game.

Today, let’s look at the NPCs that should be in the Elden Ring movie specifically, because we can already imagine other characters, such as Marika, Radagon, and Radahn will definitely be there.

Merchant Kalé
A merchant’s caravan
One of the first NPCs the player character runs into in the Elden Ring is Kalé. He is a lone merchant sitting inside a ruined church, lighting a fire.
He’s also one of the first NPCs to give some information about what’s going on in The Lands Between, and the first NPC to give something to the player, giving actual advice.
We don’t know if the team behind the movie plans to fix the story of Frenzied Flame, but having Kalé could help lead the main character in this case. Even if they don’t want to use Frenzied Flame, it would be nice to get some story from Kalé, tell the main character about what happened to the merchants before the fall of the Great Caravan.

Blaidd
The Friendly Wolf
Blaidd is involved in one of the longest and perhaps most accessible quests in the Elden Ring. Kalé will tell you about the forest wolf, and if you find her, she’ll drop you off in your quest for Raya Lucaria Academy, and talk to blacksmith Iji.
Blaidd also helps point you to the ruins beneath the river Siofra, and will also help you at the Radahn Festival. We have no doubt that Radahn will play a role in the story, so seeing Blaidd makes sense.
It also makes sense that Ranni will play a role in the story, and since Blaidd is her loyal servant, it makes even more sense for Blaidd to play a role. We could see him playing this character Ben Whishaw.

He is in Everything
There is one constant NPC in every Souls game made by FromSoftware. If you’ve never heard of him or seen him, his name is Patches, and he usually tries to kill you.
In the original Dark Souls, he stands by your side as you grope in the dark, tells you where the false treasure is, and tries to kill you with a long fall off a cliff. In all articles, it is the same story, but we are still running the rain process as a seller. Heck, he’s even pulled tricks on you before that in Demon’s Souls, too.
Leaflets also appear in the Elden Ring. First, he will be the boss, he will fire you if you take too much of his life. After that, he becomes a salesman, offering small pieces of history and traveling around. His path also leads to Rykard, one of the game’s biggest bosses.
Although they may not offer much, Patches need to be in the project because it is converted into a Software game. It would feel empty without him.

And Enia
We think that Two Fingers will play a big role in the story of the Elden Ring movie. If so, Enia should be there. After all, he is the one who interprets the will of two fingers.
With Two Fingers trashing the demigods, this sets the Tarnished on a path to killing the game’s biggest bosses. It feels necessary for Enia to be there to guide the main character in the story.
Along with this, various Finger Readers appear throughout the world of The Lands Between, guiding you where to go next. If Enia doesn’t appear, at least some of the regular Finger Readers can appear to help guide the main character through the majority of the movie.

Witch Sellen
Learn More Magic
Serceress Sellen is one of the main reasons why players go down the path of learning magic in the Elden Ring. He acts as that first step into the magical world of Glintstone, and grants additional spells when you bring him scrolls.
Although we don’t think the movie could adapt his entire story, with his expulsion from the Academy of Raya Lucaria due to his study of the Primeval Current, it would be nice to see him appear as a guiding force for the main character of the story.
Since his character is connected to Jerren, who in turn is connected to Radahn, we can easily see him in the movie, and he is an NPC that can help guide the player to school, or perhaps their downfall.

White Mask Varré
Which leads to Mohg
White Mask Varré is the first NPC you can meet in the Elden Ring. He stands just outside the mausoleum, waiting to “welcome” you to The Lands Between.
You first guide the player to Stormveil Castle where they will meet Godfrey. Later, however, he directs them to a very different place: Mohgwyn’s castle. Here, you can find the Blood King, Mohg.
Varré can easily play an opposing force, or one that tries to lure the main character away from his true goal or purpose. He can also be a force that tries to help the main character, but in a dark way the main character ends up being weird later in the film.
Either way, without Varré standing there, waiting for the Tarnished to arrive, The Lands Between won’t feel right.

The Hyetta
The Blind Follower
Shabriri should definitely be involved in the movie, and as mentioned, so should Hyetta. Throughout the game, you get Shabriri Grapes to give to Hyetta. He is then led to the Three Fingers area, eventually leading the player to the Frenzied Flame.
Hyette could play a misleading role in the movie, giving the main character a false hope of helping the girlfriend, only to lead them to despair and chaos. As you give Hyetta the Shabriri grapes, she becomes more and more frantic, eventually reaching the Three Fingers, and tells the player to go inside and receive the Frenzied Flame.
This would be an interesting twist in the movie, when Hyetta tries to seduce the main character from their girlfriend, which makes them accept an offer that will throw The Lands Between into chaos.

Iron Fist Alexander
Our Jar Lad
Alexander is one of the most popular NPCs in the Elden Ring. You meet him for the first time as he is stuck on the ground. Rescuing him will lead you to an epic questline, eventually ending with you defeating him in battle.
Alexander plays a big role in helping you defeat Radahn, if you decide to summon him during the festival. We feel like Radahn will play a big role in the movie, so having Alexander there to help the main character would make a lot of sense.
We can easily see Alexander appearing throughout the movie to help the character in important moments, and we may see a fight between the two. As a bonus, Nick Offerman is confirmed to be in the movie, and many fans are casting him as Alexander.

Gideon Ofnir
The All-Knowing One
The Lands Between can be a confusing place, and, like Tarnished, it will be the main character’s job to travel the lands, learning everything they can about their machines. There is only one NPC that comes to mind when we think of learning, and that is Gideon, the Omniscient.
He is found in Roundtable Hold, and during the game, he tells you about the different people of the gods that you have to defeat. His role in the film will be that of the wise man who directs the Tarnished across The Lands Between.
Of course, Gideon can also become the main character’s rival, eventually turning against them as they get closer to achieving their ultimate goal, and acting as a barrier before the final battles.

Melina
Your Girlfriend
Melina is an obscure character in the Elden Ring, but she is also very useful to the team. She starts by coming to you, telling you that she can play the role of your Princess, allowing you to rise to become an Elden Lord.
If the film hopes to follow the story of the game, then Melina will probably need to be involved, as there would be no story if the Tarnished character remained without a girlfriend. Also, this will open the door for other interesting characters like Hyetta to enter.
After all, Melina repeatedly tells you to stay away from the Frenzied Flame, and she will eventually leave you if you choose to follow that route. We don’t know how the movie will end, but there’s a good chance it will go the route of the Frenzied Flame, forcing Melina to hunt you down.
