NVIDIA DLSS 5.0 Bad AI Face Tech is mocked worldwide

NVIDIA has revealed its new DLSS 5 AI-powered face technology, and it’s already become a joke on the internet because of how bad it looks, especially when compared to the graphics it claims to improve.
In an effort to justify the ungodly amount of money thrown at the multi-billion dollar investment, there has been a push to push AI into sports as much as possible. Microsoft is a big supporter of this, bringing Copilot to Xbox games to help people with disabilities play.
The latest failed attempt at AI installation was posted on the official YouTube channel NVIDIA GeForce Now, with the announcement of the powerful DLSS 5 AI technology, which does questionable things in existing games.
NVIDIA DLSS 5 Face Tech Looks Awesome
DLSS 5 AI technology can change a video game character’s face in real time, making it look like one of those awful AI “modeling” pictures people share on Facebook. It’s bad enough when family members do it, but NVIDIA wants to deliver it’s on the iconic video game characters, featuring a poor AI rendering of Grace and Leon from Resident Evil: The Requiem.
Naturally, the trailer led to people mocking the DLSS 5 technology online, with the comment section of YouTube videos comparing the changes to the way animated characters look in ads for adult sites, and how everyone was turned on by the squidward look.

NVIDIA’s comments on the video clarified that the technology will be fully controlled by developers, who can decide on things like color intensity in their transitions. Hopefully, Capcom is not taken by the real Umbrella Corporation and decides to run away from this technology.
NVIDIA’s DLSS 5 technology sounds like another attempt to force AI into video games where there is no real need. The character models they showed look great and represent a real artist’s vision, not bad instructions that look like they took designs from Elsa Pregnancy shorts.
