This article was produced in collaboration with our sponsor, Bushiroad.

When it comes to monster control video games, Palworld has cemented its place in the genre with a unique resource-gathering and base-building mechanic, action-packed combat, and over 180 friends to discover.

With many fans eager for more, Palworld is now starting to release its long-awaited trading cards, as Bushiroad has announced Palworld’s Official Card Game will launch on July 30, with its first set, Dawn of Palpagos.

Palworld Official Card Game Launched on July 30th

As a fan of trading card games for nearly thirty years, one would wonder how much money I have spent collecting cards over the years, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s definitely a number I’d rather not think about, but the endless joy I get from those cards is priceless—completing sets, building decks, trading, and making memories with friends as we battle for bragging rights.

Now, it’s Palworld’s time to enter the TCG arena, and they’re hitting the shelves in style with trial decks, tournaments, demo sessions, and of course, booster packs. If you want to surpass your competitors and become the best Palworld TCG player you can possibly be, and maybe become a world champion, there’s a lot of information we need to unpack—so let’s get into it.

Palworld’s Official Card Game releases worldwide on Thursday, July 30, 2026, with pre-sales available at Anime Expo and other select events beginning in July. Follow Palworld OFFICIAL CARD GAME social media accounts for more details.

Bushiroad was kind enough to send me some test decks, and invited me to take part in a consultation demo with a few of their staff to familiarize myself with how the game works. It was exciting to say the least, and as we played the game and discussed the rules, I quickly realized Palworld’s TCG has incredible potential.

Prizes for participation from 30 July:

As we played the game and discussed the rules, I quickly realized that Palworld’s TCG has incredible potential.

One of the most exciting things about the launch of Palworld’s official card game, is the abundance of competitive play opportunities around the world.

Buy Tournaments

Palworld Shop Tournaments

Retail tournaments, release-specific tournaments, and the Grand Release Tournament will all begin in August, followed by the Challengers Cup, which runs from September to November, and will offer special prizes.

These store-level tournaments not only give players a chance to hone their skills and fine-tune their decks, they provide promotional cards that may come in handy if you’re planning a run for the world title. Speaking of world champions, let’s take a closer look at the composition of the Palworld OCG competitive scene.

Palworld OCG Masters League

Palworld OCG Masters League Tournament

As you can see in the picture above, the official Palworld card game will have a global tournament called the Masters League, with regional qualifying tournaments held in more than 20 regions around the world.

The Masters League will begin in November, with the best players from the regional qualifiers advancing to the Masters World Finals, where the first world champion will be crowned in Tokyo.

Based on my first impression during the demo, and years of enjoying other TCGs, I think Pocketpair and Bushiroad have put together the only fantasy game in the Palworld PC experience, with the layers of complexity needed to make deck builders worldwide fall in love with it.
