As you explore the Abyss, the sky realm of the Crimson Desert, you’ll encounter complex challenges that can be difficult to complete. Although difficult, these puzzles should be completed as they all reward you with the Fencing Artifact, an important item that helps with character progression.

One of the first puzzles you’ll find in the Crimson Desert is Root’s End, a large structure that hangs high in the sky. To solve Root’s End, players need to go inside, avoid lasers, and restore power to the central cog.

Root endpoint

Players can reach Root’s End after completing the Ethereal Pathway puzzle in the Abyss area of the Crimson Desert. The Ethereal Pathway is one of the first sky platforms you encounter while playing the game.

From the Ethereal Pathway, continue across the series of platforms and keep moving forward until you find a large building in the sky. This building is Root’s End, so use Force Palm to launch yourself into the air and jump onto it.

How to Solve the Root's End Puzzle in Crimson Desert

When you first get to Root’s End, you’ll notice that there isn’t much going on compared to other Abyss puzzles. However, the real puzzle of Root’s End is inside the main building you’re standing on, so The goal is to find a way in.

To get inside, go through there metal grate between Root’s End. This metal grate can be opened, but only just by crouching and using Force Palm on it. Jumping and using Force Palm on the ground won’t work, and you have to crouch.

After opening the metal grate, you will start to freely fall down a long corridor filled with lasers. The best way to avoid taking damage here is to slide down slowly and take your time, flying across the gaps in the lasers.

Once you get to the ground floor, you want grab the floating battery at the top of the room. This battery is too high to hold down, so you have to jump and use Force Palm to go up in the air, too grab it with Axiom Force while in the air. Once you’ve caught it with Axiom Force midair, be sure to do so press the drag button to drop it too.

Now that you have a battery, place it in its vicinity and hit it in place with Force Palm. This will open ia a teleporter in a room where you can stand to be taken outside.

Now that you’re back outside, all you have to do is catch up floating battery on the right side of the stairs and Force the Palm back to its place.

With the battery back in place, Root’s End will be ready to go. Make your way to the center of the cog again use Force Palm down to hit the centerwhich officially completes the puzzle of Root’s End in the Crimson Desert.

Be sure to grab the Abyss Artifact that appears after completing the puzzle, as this is an important item that can be used to upgrade your character, upgrade weapons, etc.
