The Legend of Zelda Meets Hasbro Before Ocarina of Time Remake

When it comes to franchises that shaped our childhoods and defined what adventure should feel like, The Legend of Zelda sits comfortably at the top of the mountain for many gamers (myself included).

And because of that, we all know we have a serious soft spot for any collectible from Nintendo’s franchise – and I say this as I write this article with a Breath of the Wild Zelda figure sitting on my desk and Majora’s Mask hanging on my wall.

Now, it looks like Link is getting ready to hit our wallets with a massive spin attack to collect our hard-earned Rupees, because one of the biggest marketing partnerships they’ve ever seen has just been officially announced.

Bringing Hyrule to Life Every Six Inch

Nintendo has officially partnered with the toy giant Hasbro in a multi-year licensing partnership to bring The Legend of Zelda to playgrounds and collectors’ shelves around the world. The news was shared on Thursday, and the newly announced partnership is expected to officially begin in 2027.

Luckily for us eager fans, we won’t have to wait nearly that long to get our first glimpse of what they’re cooking up, as Hasbro has confirmed that they’ll be unveiling three 6-inch scale figures San Diego Comic-Conwhich means we will see them on the weekend of July 23 to July 26, 2026.

While the announcement is keeping the identity of those first three figures closely guarded for now, the potential here is huge, and I can’t help but imagine what those first figures will look like. I mean, are we going to get a classic, green-clad Link? A modern, wild-haired version of the latest open-world titles? Or perhaps the terrifying, towering presence of Ganondorf himself?

Regardless of what they look like, I’m down for any of them, as the scale is perfect for collectors. Six-inch figures are widely considered the gold standard for action figures, offering the perfect balance of shelf-friendly size and intricate detail.

Nintendo has officially partnered with toy giant Hasbro in a multi-year licensing partnership to bring The Legend of Zelda to playgrounds and collectors’ shelves around the world.

According to Hasbro, the goal is to combine Nintendo’s storytelling with their expertise in performance and simulation, delivering toys that invite older fans to proudly display them and younger fans to enter this amazing saga. And given the pedigree of Hasbro’s lines like Marvel Legends or Star Wars Black Serieswe can definitely expect high-quality sculptures!

“For decades, The Legend of Zelda franchise has captivated fans with its deep stories, unforgettable characters and constant sense of discovery,” said Billy Lagor, current president of Toys and Board Games at Hasbro. “By combining Nintendo’s legendary storytelling with Hasbro’s leadership in performance and simulation, we deliver toys that invite fans to play, explore and create their own epic adventures.”

Of course, this collaboration does not come out of nowhere, especially since it seems that Nintendo finally remembered that it was the 40th year of its founding! With the highly anticipated live-action The Legend of Zelda movie currently scheduled to hit theaters next year, and the Ocarina of Time remake set to be released in the 2026 holiday season, we all know that Zelda fans are incredibly well fed (and honestly, it’s about time!). Now, I just need to figure out how many Rupees I can scrape together so I don’t miss out on this amazing treasure from Hyrule.
