How To Unlock All Camouflage Weapon Skins

Finding Range & Rifle magazines serves two equally important purposes in Gray Zone Warfare.

The first is obvious: it’s raining or drowning here in the jungles of Lamang, and there’s nothing sadder than showing up to a party in Fort Narith with something like a stock SKS.

The enemies in this game may smell fear, but more importantly, they also feel a lack of aesthetic sophistication. In addition, if you have a weakness for deep forest combat, having a hidden weapon works much better than a standard black or red one, especially if you combine it with other items in your loadout.

After all, there is another valid reason to chase Range & Rifle magazines in the game, and that is to skip the tedious grind to improve your standing with the in-game vendors.

Gray Zone Warfare: All 0.4 Spearhead Weapons, Counted

Overview of new weapons added in update 0.4.

Any weapon you unlock through Range & Rifle magazine jobs is immediately available to you, regardless of your standing with traders. Most importantly, this extends to magazines, so even if you’re using the stock version of the weapon, you can buy high-quality mags from the Range & Rifle specials at any time.

For example, picking up a Black Hawk M14 in Hunter’s Paradise will allow you to buy 20 round boxes from the Banshee at level 1, although standard equivalent mags are usually locked to the level 3 setting. This discovery is the difference between a weapon being a common horse and a queen of the locker.

All Range & Rifle Magazine Locations

Here are the locations of all the Range & Rifle magazines on the map, and how to access their locations.

All quests involving Range & Rifle magazines reset when you die, after which you’ll need to wait a cooldown before picking it up again.

If you die and the weapon you’re interested in is still in the ‘Failed’ section of the task divider, give it an hour, then complete the quests in the same task area. Eventually, the game will refill this field with the Range & Rifle magazine quest you need.

If you restart the Range & Rifle quest, you can wait until you get to the magazine area to accept it. That way, if you die on the way, it won’t lock again after the cooldown.

Hunter’s Paradise

A trader

Banshee

The power of the magazine

20 rounds

Caliber

7.62x51mm NATO

Price

$8.5k

A green camouflage M14 equipped with a 16-inch barrel, 20-round magazine, and Specter DR sight can be unlocked with the Range & Rifle magazine in the Weapon Storage room of Hunter’s Paradise.

The magazine is on a bench near a shelf in the northwest corner of the room.

This area requires the Hunter’s Paradise Weapon Storage (HP Wep) key to unlock. It is found as a standing seed in the eastern offices of Hunter’s Paradise or the southern restaurant, and also as a random spawn in the enemy list in the area.

Midnight Sapphire

SIG MCX (Ghost Nomad)

A trader

Banshee

The power of the magazine

60 rounds

Caliber

.300 Blackout

Price

$13.2k

The first custom weapon you should get from Midnight Sapphire is the Ghost Nomad SIG MCX.

The accompanying Range & Rifle magazine is on a table in the basement of the Midnight Sapphire restaurant on the second floor.

Go up the stairs from the lobby, then turn right. A table with a magazine will be on your left, surrounded by armchairs.

M700 (Grey Company)

A merchant

Banshee

The power of the magazine

10 rounds

Caliber

7.62x51mm NATO

Price

$11.8k

Instead, appropriately enough, Range & Rifle magazine opened a hidden M700 on the roof where the LAF gunners sat.

Go up the service stairs, then turn to the southeast. Walk up to the guard rail, then look to your left to find a small camping table with an ashtray and the magazine in question.

Ban Pa

AKMN (Jackal Company)

A trader

An artist

The power of the magazine

30 rounds

Caliber

7.62x39mm

Price

$5.7k

The only camo weapon you can find in the Ban Pa mission and is the cheapest in the game.

You can find this in the hut northwest of LZ Oscar 2. Although this area is only protected by a small group of pirates, be very careful when entering, as the paths leading to the hut are blocked.

The door to the hut is locked, but you can kick it open. A magazine is lying on the floor next to the sleeping bag.

Tiger Bay

MP7A2 (Sentinel Company)

A trader

Banshee

The power of the magazine

40 rounds

Caliber

4.6x30mm

Price

$6.4k

This is a quick way to unlock the best CQB weapon in the game, and the best part is, it comes with a silencer and extended mags for a reasonable price.

The Sentinel Company MP7A2 Range & Rifle magazine is located in the campsite directly west of the Juliett 4 landing site, near COP Gladius.

Gray Zone Warfare Flight Unlisted Flight 16

Gray Zone Warfare: The Uncharted Aircraft Quest Guide

A Boeing 737 has gone down in Lamang, and Lab Rat needs to find out why.

Approaching from the south, after dispatching the thugs, look to your left to find a covered building. This magazine is on the couch by the west wall.

SVD (Silent Clock)

A trader

An artist

The power of the magazine

20 rounds

Caliber

7.62x54mmR

Price

$18.2k

The Silent Watch SVD is arguably the hardest to find here, as Tiger Bay Mall is one of the most competitive and tough locations in the game.

Range & Rifle magazine is located on the south side of the mall, on the east row of stores, on the first floor. Entering the mall from the west side of the access, run past the Lamtel sign and enter the store on the left. Expect one to two LAF soldiers inside.

Look behind the counter and enter the door on the right, then turn left to find a small office. The magazine is on the bookshelf next to the frame.

YBL-1

Mossberg 590 (Raven Team)

A merchant

Gunny

The power of the magazine

10 shells

Caliber

12/70

Price

$6.5k

Gunny’s Mossberg 590 in Raven Team camo is probably the most wanted item you’ll ever need in this game.

Go to the Lima 2 or Mike 3 landings, south of COP Titan, and follow the river south until you meet a small wooden bridge.

Jump to the west side to find a small camp. This magazine is found in the hut south of the bridge, on a small wooden desk.

Fort Narith

AK-308 (Hunter Team)

A trader

Vulture

The power of the magazine

20 rounds

Caliber

7.62x51mm NATO

Price

$17.8k

The AK-308 is one of the best guns in the game, which makes its limited availability even more frustrating. Fortunately, you can easily get around that with a short trip to Lamang’s Disneyland, Fort Narith Air Base.

The Range & Rifle magazine you need to open it is in the brig, the ‘proper’ one nestled between the infirmary, the main entrance, and the HQ building.

The safest route in my experience is to bypass the corner gate at the northwest end of the runway, then proceed to the road leading up to the target building. Expect fire from the armory, usually with two soldiers per truck. A brig usually has one soldier inside and two more around the tent outside it.

Once inside, turn left and stay left until you see a locked room. Kick the door to open it. The Range & Rifle magazine is under the coffee machine to the left of the door.

Unlike other retailers, Vulture is only available at select major COPs. To avoid jumping around blindly based on variants, check out DamnitBennet’s excellent Where is Vulture tracker.

DDM4 (Phantom Lance)

A trader

Gunny

The power of the magazine

60 rounds

Caliber

5.56x45mm NATO

Price

$17k

The only hidden AR-15 blueprint in the game can be found on the second floor of the Alpha barracks in Fort Narith, the southernmost building opposite the infirmary. Expect up to five enemies inside, including three on the second floor, as well as soldiers firing from other buildings. In other words, stay clear of the windows.

After entering Alpha’s castle, go up the stairs, then turn left. Go to the end of the corridor to find a desk with a Range & Rifle magazine, by the door to room A206.
