To celebrate Alien Day 2026, a reference to the planet LV-426 from the original Alien film, Creative Assembly has finally released the first official trailer for the highly anticipated sequel to their survival horror game. Alien: Isolation.
It was first announced in 2024 in celebration of Alien: Isolation10th anniversary, news about the succession of Alien: Isolation has remained relatively stable since its announcement, and overall Alien the franchise has received a resurgence in other media thanks to the success of Alien: Romulus, Alien: Earthagain Alien: Villain Invasion.

While returning Creative Director Al Hope noted that more details on the sequel will be released shortly after the game’s announcement, no major developments in the follow-up to Amanda Ripley’s tragic journey have been revealed so far.
Invasion Alien: Isolation 2 Teaser Trailer
A teaser trailer Alien: Isolation‘s sequel isn’t very long, and it doesn’t warrant an official sequel title, but what little is revealed is especially appealing to fans of sci-fi first-person survival horror.
The trailer begins with a dark, slow-motion shot of a door similar to those found in the USCSS Nostromothe USCSS Torrensand Sevastopol Station, with an alarm going off in the background before the door suddenly lights up.
It opens up in space where there was a violent storm, similar to the weather seen on LV-426 after it was collected and built by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation to build the Hadley’s Hope colony, as seen in Aliens.
The trailer then briefly showcases the registry, popular save points, and stress relief found in Torrens and Station Sevastopol, directly across from the entrance, in the center of the storm, before cutting briefly to reveal the Creative Assembly logo.
It then briefly cuts back to the register with a zoomed-in image of the text EMERGENCY on top of the kiosk before cutting to black again, and the trailer ends soon after.
The reveal of this trailer may suggest that Sega and Creative Assembly may start revealing more details and possible gameplay footage. Alien: Isolationsequel later this year, with an ESRB Rating Pending tag shown at the beginning of the trailer, suggesting the game’s development may be nearing completion.
Hope clarified that the game was already in development as early as 2024, and if CA reuses many of the original game’s assets as the trailer suggests, the sequel could launch in 2027.

Going by the setting and plot of the sequel, this teaser confirms it Alien: Isolationtracking will occur, at least partially, planetside and may change the characteristics of Isolationfollow up jokes Aliens: Resistance again Aliens: The Rescuewhich saw Amanda Ripley visit Weyland-Yutani-based locations.
Alternatively, the game may also prioritize those comic plans as well as those of the controversial follow-up mobile game Alien: Blackoutand instead created a brand new story for Amanda Ripley after she was last seen floating in space after the Xenomorph took off Torrens at the end of the Isolation.
